The movie will either be of the Strikers season or be entirely independent and most likely of an event between A's and Strikers.

Also they could split the Strikers into two or three films.
Admittedly it would be nice for the materials to show up. But in all hoestly they probably deserve their own series. Also the Title is Reflections so who knows what it is going to be.

Personally I think their is a high chance of it not being a retelling of Strikers due to the title, or one of two movies that deal with the Strikers season, which would make much sense and be better for us fans since they can add more stuff and not constrain it.
Also maybe as a separate movie or series they should use the materials. It seriously could work given the Materials nature, and origin, and current situation.

It has already been confirmed that the movie will not be based on strikers and will feature an original storyline not based on previous materials.

Didn't know that. And it makes since it is called reflection. However My money is still on something between A's and Strikers.

Good thing otherwise their would be too many charecters, and issue with strikers, and some of are favorite charecters might become totaly absent like Yunno, CHrono.

WHere did you hear it though because I am curious about when it comes out.

I think it was a wise desicion to make new material ignoring StrikerS and later seasons because the cast gets absurdly huge and as MOVIE 2nd A's showed us, the movie formate really made some characters suffer horrible (namely the Wolkenritter) due to the lack of proper time to flesh put them in a decent way. So yeah a new story focused on a small handfull of characters could help.

While i do welcome this i do hope there will be a movie 4th Strikers, the moments between Nanoha and Vivio made Strikers a win for me.

yeah but they would end up cutting out a lot. possibly better if after reflections that their are two movies, one concerning the fowards, the second about Nanoha and Vivio, and I know this is futile but I hope they aren't going to put too much Nahoa Fate

Wasn't talking about that. I was just hoping ans speculating how the movies should turn out.

Reflections is probaly a reaction to how fans recieved strikers. It had better be good since they have nothing really to fall back on like the first two movies did. after all the first two movies helped fill in blanks that may not have been explained in the movies, they were still good.
well we will see.

3rd will not be StrikerS, not Nanoha's middle school period, probably nothing that was mentioned in the main story before. It also won't be the incident from StrikerS where Nanoha got shot down.

Probably the Leading support character like always.
I mean the whole point of Nanoha is to a be "normal" girl, who tries her hardest to befriend people because of how kind she is.
Which means she should have no angst drama invoking story of her past or anything.

If anything, there should be a story about Zest and his amazing adventures.

I'd also like to add that if it's the part in-between A's and StrikerS, it's mostly training and other mundane stuff except for the impalement part or the occasional mock battle before that. You can read them in the official manga from the 1st nanoha up to strikers.
