I really like that one line. It's hilarious, especially the Holmes of Battlefield told him he's a retiree....

I'm sure Natora will become an exceptional tactician and ship-wide idol like Yurika.

@RES-01 Perses Gundam - Flit's aging problems was handled by Albis quite well.

Think I am going to like the cast, Captain Natora for the win!
Really nice to see the AGE builder back in action. What surprised me was seeing Madorna jr on board a federation vessel as chief engineer. Was kind of expecting he would be with Asemu.

Great episode but some scenes are pretty jarring to watch because the drawings looks terrible off. Specially the scene in the military base with the kids. It redeems itself with the battle showing how good Kio is with his x-rounder ability and how to talk down a retired military commander. I was on that scene that leaves Flint into silent mode but never the less he still gives advice to the young ones.

And the current team. Among all the previews team. This team is shaping up the best. Loose screw crew and mature looking pilots.

ye as others already explained, the sudden X-Rounder flash effect is just like the Eureka Effect http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eureka_effect
that Kio suddenly realizes he can make a double checkmate on Zeheart and the Vagan Battleship

lol i think his just having a bad luck, he is highly intelligent and calm minded a good traits of being a leader, and also against a lot of commanders too like on AGE-2 timeline his tactics are being countered by Flit Asuno and that Blonde second in command (that is now the Admiral)

With such a crew like that, each of their problems would need to be settled out. Plus, there's 30 more years of battle left. *sigh* Damn war doesn't end. Flit will have to die sooner or later.

I'm thinking of a possible 4th gen...but that's .... for the future.

Anyway... me thinks that those crew members are bound for greatness.

Yeah lots of potential to improve and grow.

Unlike Flit.

The Childerns, i hate them in the original Gundam 0079 and still hate them... why Level-5 why? that was sunrise pressure? those childern would have been less pesky in the Flit generation but not now... unless there will be so blood here than those childerns are the comedy effect... but still i hate them

And yes, we've a crew of Rookies with a Newly promoted Captain alongisde a former admiral with still some issues.... this crew will be the best one in gundam in years...

Appointing a rookie captain to Diva seems like a middle finger to Flit, too.

No respect for elders....

Makes you wonder how depressed he is. After all according the the subs, he said "I fear nothing."

Errr, wasn't he assigned? But, for Obright to be considered a 'problem' personnel, it's a foreshadowing on how he's going to kick some Vagan butt in a reckless way.

True. He might be over the top in killing the Vagan that he disregards collateral damage in battle.

On a side note: Since this is based on Victory Gundam, are we expecting a high body count?

Where did you get that from? This looks more like ZZ to me...

As far as the episode...
1. Flit seriously have aging problem like many said. Well, of course, "I'm Flit Asuno" gets you a rookie captain and an antique ship...
2. Come on, Zeheart, you're not fighting Asemu anymore, just take off that mask and go berserk.
3. On the other hand, though, Kio is already 10x better than his father...
4. The incompetent crew...youth this day :P
5. Those children, aka Katz, Letz, and Kikka...
