PC gaming it just a hassle for me nowadays =/

No way in hell you could. The only thing that matters when it comes to idle processes like opened browser or Origin - is RAM. And if you can run BF3 without a problem, that you most likely have 4+Gb of it. That way +- 200mb of RAM for something like browser and Origin is not essential.

Yeah, sure. You can then choose primary platoon and change what platoon you are playing for(for the certain match)

Yea I heard it's possible through using a Korean VPN, since it's been released over there, and play it through that.

It's a totally valid way, too, as one of the players asked the support. They were just fine with it. Details if you want to try can be found at the EA UK BF3 forum.

@Drake: Unless you actually saw it happen in the BF3 beta, I'm sceptical. Though if you did, I rest my case. My PC is quite old, but runs BF3 just fine at its lowest setting. Not so much at medium. But at Low, with Origin, Battlelog, more tabs, and 10 other applications, it didn't impact much of my FPS. And it's not like it's an ugly game even at those settings.

GameTrailers.com HOUR ONE with Battlefield 3 starting 6PM and 8PM PST.

They pretty much play the first hour of the game.

I would tell you theres a difference if I could but there is no way to run it without origin and a browser but as an example my PC will run ARMA II with a mixture of medium and high settings (mostly medium) but if I switch on gamebooster a program that closes all non essential background programs I'm able to see a notable difference in the FPS.

I dunno if different browsers suck up different amounts of juice or not but for whats its worth I'm running opera.

Doubt it's a bug. I'm able to play in full screen and same in the beta. So far I don't "see" or "feel" any bugs other than almost every server has lag no matter their location. Lovin it though, I just wish I had a better v-card so I max out the graphics for epic visuals.

32v32 gets REALLY intense in the close quarters maps. I got like 4k exp off defibs in this one area the whole entire round lolz.

I'm liking the main theme, but I'm going to miss the loading music that used to play in the older Battlefield games.

Speaking of older Battlefield games, which one was the first for you? And Veteran status?
Battlefield 2 was the first one for me. It was very much the first FPS I ever played, introduced to me by a friend who happened to had a 6800GT back then. The 64-player battles was what really drew me in to the series (albeit that had a flaky net connection and I sucked at it at the time... and I probably ain't that great at it nowadays either). Went on to play BF2142, then Bad Company 2. Briefly played in the BC1 demo and BF1943 (PS3), and tried a bit of Heroes and the Play4Free version. That makes my Veteran level 4 I think.

Vietnam was my first one. Can't say it was not pirated though Next was BF2 with all addons and BC2.
I've played 2142 but didn't really liked it.

I'm somewhat surprised that the addons I bought for BF2 are still in my account... I'm guessing they're not enforcing the 1-year download limit anymore.
Titan mode was my personal highlight of 2142- I hope some form of it returns in a future Battlefield game.

My first BF game was Vietnam. I loved the Operation Hastings map.

I played BF2 the most, though.
