Good ones.

Resulting in sitting in shock a few minutes after the song ended, remebering and reveling in its greatness.

Oh man, it was my first time on niconico and it turns out to be what I expected it to be. Well, the comments in youtube can be bad too, but niconico is like a youtube version of 4chan or 2ch.

Most of the comments were typically normal, while the rest were scraps from fan wars. Ranka is horrible! Sheryl disappear! Quite distracting actually.

But as for Sheryl's version of Aimo... yeah, holy shit and whatnot. While Ranka's version is a gentler song, Sheryl gives it a more sensual tone to it—more passion—and the results are wonderful. If Ranka can cause the Vajra to go wild through this song, then Sheryl would've caused them to go mad with desire.

Sheryl should've been the Queen while Ranka should've been the Fairy.

Still gotta hand it to her, she did a pretty good job for her first role ever.

Although it must be noted that her Amateur-ness was intentional on part of the production staffs. Ranka was her virgin performance

Yes she's nice and I actually had more favourite songs from Ranka than Sheryl.

Megumi's first live performance of Seikan Hikou was so amateurish cute lol

Megumi's first live was perfectly fine as a first lives, it's better then anything I heard from Hello Project at least. Although there's ALOT of improvements to be made. I never liked her seiyuu work in the series, it felt...not so good compared to the other voices in the series.

12 Minute Nyan Nyan Special Service Medley, now that was a most satisfying track.

Yes. It was amazing

Just started listening to it, and I have to say I'm disappointed right now in Maaya's Aimo...I was expecting something more along the lines of how she sang it in the show

Also the fact that Ranka/Sheryl's Diamond Crevasse is only a few lines long...it sounded really nice too

And was I the only one who thought that Brera/Ranka's Aimo meant they'd both be singing?

And I will be listening to this medley for a while to come...although it doesn't seem as...well arranged as the first version to me. Still awesome though

Well after all these amazing songs she sang in Macross F I really, really hope May'n would stop being Britney wannabe and follow the path of the Galactic Fairy instead. Her voice is destined for greater things and her old songs just didn't do her justice

Really looking forward to May'n Street

Same thoughts here.

I'm craving for some Sheryl Ai Oboetemasuka.

Really looking forward to May'n Street
Probably Yoko Kanno's magic at work there, or whoever it is that helped produce those songs.

Alas, she's still a product of the entertainment world and while May'n is herself talented, the people around her also matter.

I haven't listened to her previous work, but I hope she grows as an artist after all of this.

I saw some youtube some pre-May'n stuff (Look up Nakabayashi May) - her great voice is there, but the songs are just very generic R&B/hiphop'ish pop songs that's overdone to death. No wonder she didn't hit it big when she first debuted.

I agree that Kanno Youko has a great role in helping May'n discover her talents, making songs that perfectly fit her vocal range and uses her singing prowess completely. Even May'n herself had so much to thank Kanno Youko in her blog...

If she keeps having Kanno make songs for her then May'n will surely go a long way - and looks like we got much to look forward to, because May'n Street will have some song that are by Kanno so I'm really looking forward to that

Yes, I do really hope she will stay with Kanno compositions. It suits her very well. Besides, keeping the style her fans grew to love would be the wisest patch. I know I'd support her decision.

Unlike you guys, I don't like Sheryl's Aimo that much.

And I'm still dying to have the harmonica version of Aimo by Brera

I loved it. Much better than all the other versions. Made me like the song again, to be honest.

You speak the truth.

As usual, some comments from May'n on her tracks in Nyan Tama:
"disc1

04. Diamond Crevasse ~ At the observation park

So nostalgic!!! The first time I went to see the dubbing for the voice work, they let me do some dubbing and I did it with a "give it a shot?" attitude. I can't believe they actually included this track! (LOL). It was my first dubbing experience while being watched by others⊂( ^ω^)⊃

I tried to express it as Sheryl watching Ranka sing the song, then thinking "maybe I should sing a little bit too" feel

disc2

02.Diamond Crevasse 50/50

Just as I said in the liner notes, I don't usually sing a song like this. Sheryl's gentle emotions and blank expressions came to mind.

03. Sheryl's Aimo
Kanno-san suddenly said to me, why don't you try singing some Aimo? And I sang it in May'n-style, and was told it was like how Sheryl or a foreign singer would sing it. I even changed the melody a little bit.

That was by May'n who was 18-yr-old, which the screenwriter Yoshino-san praised as "very sexy"

10.Nyan Nyan special service medley (special serving)

Why's there two medleys LOL. You might think "Oh they shrank this special serving version for the one they included in Nyan Tora..." Well you're wrong! They're recorded separately. I knew it...K-no-san is definitely an S! (heart) I really like the Iteza in this one...for some reason.

If you bought this album, then please do read through the liner notes! I've put a lot of thought into it. ⊂( ^ω^)⊃"
