I'd be surprised if this weren't dubbed, and it's one of the few series where I might prefer to watch a dub because of the enormous amount of dialogue that needs to be read in subtitles. From what I understand, though, it's going to require a very skilled translator to preserve the array of Japanese puns.

Hopefully Aniplex will also choose to subtitle all the on-screen text.

I'm guessing we'll be looking at Madoka pricing here, on the order of $10 per episode for the standard edition BD, and just under $20 per episode for the limited edition, or $150-300 total.

I've been looking for an official source that confirms that Nisemonogatari is included, but don't see one yet. I imagine this should be clarified shortly (when the press release comes out for sure). (That being said, given that this was an Aniplex show in the first place, the word "licensed" sort of doesn't apply; it's really just a case of if there are definite release plans.)

Nise has already been licensed. Didn't they announce it at the same time when they announced its simulcast with Crunchyroll?

My brainfart... Forgot that fact, but then, it confirms.

Aniplex hasn't announced a physical release like with Bakemonogatari yet.

I really don't want this dubbed, since they'll change the words for things, and they'll probably cut out scenes. And there aren't many good VA's that could do the series justice, in my honest opinion, I would have liked NIS to have licensed it.

^Why would you think that if Bake gets dubbed, they're going to cut out scenes??

Do you actually think they'd keep the scene between Mayoi and Koyomi where he gropes her, or Nadeko getting rid of snakes curse/undressing and showing her body?

If they want to make money, yes. It's not like it's going to be broadcasted, and even if it does get dubbed, the original audio track is still bound to be intact.

And anyway Bake made ALOT of japenese play on words and stuff ehich would make a dub even more likely.

I can't confirm a physical release for Nise but Aniplex was promoting both seasons at their Sakuracon booth yesterday (postcards plus gigantic promotional posters).

Did anyone make it to their Bakemonogatari screening/panel on Friday night? If so, did they have staffers in cosplay like they did at the Madoka and Fate/Zero events?

I've always thought a dub for this series would be hard considering all the play on words and kanji jokes. As long as they have jap audio and eng subtitles I'll buy it.

I hope they don't pull a Madoka with like 3 sets of Limited edition Collector boxes. Just one, por favor! And include the translated commentary.
