I know I shouldn't, but I cracked the heck up at Toriko vs. the horse king. What better way to prove one's might than with a mere snort!?


And because nobody else seems to be talking about it.... I thought the other heavenly kings' scenes were cool, too. Kappa dude's ability was especially cool, IMO (even if it doesn't last long at all....).

Actually, Toriko's second demon sorta reminds me of Tommyrod, appearance-wise....

I always thought Toriko's 'demon' was just an aspect of his personality, but it turns out they're completely different monsters sealed inside him?

Toriko's gourmet cells most likely have cells from the Nitro's

And apparently he wasn't born that way, meaning those things were put inside him when his hair turned blue...or something? Anyway, the appetite demons have gone from a completely symbolic image of resolve to actual, breathing abominations that just grow out of people

...and Toriko has multiple personalities At least he got his hands on air.

That was not air you know? That was just a normal air tree, which Komatsu cooked with some type of long-range cooking skill.

Honestly, I pretty much figure that the two oni are basically a manifestation of Toriko's gourmet cells by this point. They might have been a visual metaphor at first, but now it really does look like they're able to take on a physical form as the cells further evolve....

Well, it's an air tree fruit, so I just assume it's...uh, cooked air :P Not Acacia's "air", of course, that would require two extra chapters; one to carefully cook and one to put the faces of all the people who eat it!

I believe this started out in the fight vs Starjun, where Toriko suddenly grew a clearly different hand, but Coco was hinted to do it vs Grinpatch as well (and, of course, everybody has reached a certain point in using them by now).

^Isn't Komatsu gonna be the one to use it, though? I mean, I know Brunch was questioning whether he'd actually be capable of swinging that huge thing, but I assume this will be Komatsu's job if he's the only one capable of cooking Air. Besides, he's got both Food Honor and Food Luck on his side, doesn't he?



Edit: BTW, I thought it was a neat touch how Toriko's hair turned dark (presumably black) after the blue demon came out of him. So I guess now Toriko can use what's basically this series' equivalent to stands in Jojo, huh?
