Metal Gear Solid: The Essential

  • Great value - 3 Games at a value price point
  • First time in the franchise history that all 3 games are available together!
  • Final chance to get fully immersed in the Metal Gear Solid universe before the release of Metal Gear Solid 4
  • Includes the directors cut of Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence
  • Special re-designed packaging artwork from renowned artist Shinkawa

Release date: March, 2008
On play-asia for US$ 34.90.

GREAT stuff that any MGS fan should have. I already pre-ordered it.

SWEET!! I will definitely be getting this. I take it the Metal Gear Solid 1 version will just be like twin snakes for the gamecube correct?

If it gets a pal release im getting it. Though I do have 1 to 3, but all except 1 are the bought on release. So those don't have all those extra's. :O

@dingo it seems to be the origenal MGS. Seeing the box shows Playstation. Unlike the others that show Playstation 2 on them. =o

Yeah, I believe it's the original MGS1. I don't think Konami would do a Twin Snake PS2 version just for this collection.

Holy snap that makes it much better in that case. Since I prefer the original over the Twin snakes version for Ahem "realistic" reasons.

Is it going to be like a DVD Book? Or is it just one DVD case with the three games in it?

Definately thinking of picking this up, probably will, even though I own them all.

We don't know yet, o play-asia the boxart says 'preliminary picture', and it has no other information of the sort. Guess we will just have to wait...

It might be like the japanese version, but without the PSP game.
