That being said, explained the things that all of us were trying to say in a more clear words. Now i'm quite sure we have a clear explanation on Yui as an AI or NPC

Yeah, it seems it will be split into 2 episodes...I'm seriously hoping so. Still with the stuff I'm seeing...it will end with the "2nd murder"?

I'm thinking of something like:

XaXa : somewhat scary voice(like Naoya Uchida)
Johhny: conceited/arrogant teen(like Tetsuya Kakihara )
PoH : calm and scaryly cold(could be like Ryōtarō Okiayu)

Don't recognise the first, but Kakihara and Okiya can pull solid performances if they channel Angelo Sauper and Rai Branstein.

Regards the debate on Yui being an NPC or an AI or a player, consider how she acts. She's acting independantly of her own free will, and evolving beyond her intial programming. She is not remaining static.

To borrow other examples, it's like EDI achieving self awareness - which she did - or akin to the Tachikoma developing ghosts.

Hmm....let's see Naoya Uchida's most famous role is for.......Tobi when he's on his real sound I guess? Or we could go with Nobutoshi Canna as XaXa's voice(most famous role: Kabuto Yakushi)

Never heard Tobi or Kabuto ^^;; Kinda missed out on anime Naruto; read the manga until about... Gaara's kidnapping from Akatsuki, I think, and then gave up.

Best part of the PV -- confirms that we'll get the tree scene. Finally, some KxA action.

If this is indeed a two-parter, I don't see how they can fit the Aincrad arc into a single cour. Once you account for the remaining two side stories, they'd have at most five episodes for the first novel, which would be even more rushed than Aria. I guess SAO will extend a few episodes into the second cour, leaving eight or nine eps for ALO.

The other few important SS are the Lizbeth one and Yui one, and for those i think 1 episode each is quite enough frankly. Which makes room of 17 episodes for the main SAO arc

Rejoice! Murder is two Episodes now. That should be quite a good pacing. Which means 5 & 6 would be the Murder Arc, 7 would be Warmth of the Heart and 8 will be when the main plot begins. Hopefully, the Kirito and Asuna being sick SS also gets animated.

As for Yui's Side Story, (and the other SS regarding Ramen, IIRC) , it shouldn't be that hard to integrate it into the main story-line.

Yui's SS should be around episode 20ish or 18 or 19ish

I speculated that there's a possibility the only reason they had the episode named 'Murder in the Area' was because they didn't want to name it 'MitA Part 1'. I mean, if it was 2 episodes... the 2nd episode could very easily be titled 'LC.'

And thankfully it seems that A-1 is realising that they can't exactly pull an RDR in terms of skips when it comes to Kirito and Asuna's character, and they needed to do some justice at least towards Asuna and Kirito's reunion as clearers, and are integrating it with the side-story of MitA.

5-6 episodes is a respectable amount for one volume of light novel. Besides, FD could afford to have one episode less, given that it's a story that's more linear and is much easier to put on its paces compared to SAO V1 and V2, where it was a mix of disjointed side-stories and a linear story.

Well, the ALO arc takes place over what, 1 or 2 weeks real life time? Aside from the hospital and rehab time Kirito goes through after leaving SAO, the bulk of the story happens very quickly. I could see it being done in 9-10 eps.

Fairy Dance takes like 2 days. Maybe 3. It's kind of absurd really.

Anyway, if you add in all the sidestories, the Aincard arc is just longer than the ALO arc, so it's no surprise if it takes most of the episodes.

Good to hear that it looks like MitA is going to get two episodes instead of being crunched into one. One episode would simply not do it justice, and the staff seems to have realised that pulling another Aria and RDR won't work with everything there important to cover in the story, and the inclusion of the KiriAsu tree scene further supports this.

Though I actually saw this coming as soon as I saw the episode 5 title; they called it "Incident/Crime in the Area" instead of "Murder." I suspected that they'd only make that change because episode five wouldn't be the whole SS, so naming it after the exactly SS wouldn't be quite accurate.

1) Kirito in the real world
2) Kirito meets Lyfa and begins quest
3) Tunnel battle
4) Summit/Salamanders attack
5) Jotunheimr adventure
6) Battle of the World Tree
7) Rescuing Asuna
8) Kirito gets jumped at the hospital/Extended epilogue

I don't think that would be too rushed.
