Romance anime where the main character chooses the childhood friend

Could somebody please recommend me a romance anime (not necessarily pure romance, but with a romance plot about the main characters) in which the main character ends up with his childhood friend? I know there are many animes with childhood friend characters, but I noticed that unfortunately the main hero almost always chooses somebody else.
I am more or less familiar with the series up to 2010 or so, but maybe there is something made later with such a plot?
To make an example, the ones I liked the most are "Lamune", "Hani Hani" and "Future boy Conan".

Better if it isn't a harem. But even if it is, it's all right.

Kimikiss works out that way, yes?

Lamnue as well, although there was never really an alternative romance.

I HAVE FAILED! Reading Comprehension: F.

At least I'm not recommending Yosuga no Sora which is basically porn.

Kamisama Kazoku

Could you count GoSick? That's a bit of an iffy one without going into details.

I'd actually like to ask for a bit of clarification here. Are you interested in legitimate childhood friends only, or any relationship with a longstanding history of non-romantic interaction?

Spoiler request results in spoilers:

Spoiler for Spoiler:

I remember seeing a graphic that was basically a huge spreadsheet listing childhood friends in anime romances and their rivals and the outcomes of the romance. The whole point of the graphic was someone demonstrating that in actuality childhood friends usually win. (Roughly 50% of the time, even in case were there are multiple rivals).

Google has failed me though.

Besides already mentioned stuff Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, though it has a lot things besides romance it, but the romance between the 2 of them is very important to the series, and is developed more in the second season.

Thanks for the suggestions.
By the way, I just read about an old anime that is said to follow this kind of plot called "Mizuiro Jidai". Is it any good?
Maybe there were other now forgotten similar animes in the 90s?

Not the main main character, but the supporting male lead in Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo choose his childhood friend in the end and they get a decent amount of focus for their romance and drama.
