Who is the strongest Sin? I know there has been some discussion of it, but from what we have seen I have been wondering who people think is the most combat-capable, outside things such as mental might (Which I think is likely Lust, Sloth, Envy and possibly Greed). I'll post my own little ideas thusly.

Since there's no info on Pride, I'm not putting it in. As for who they are fighting, imagine it is Ed and Al together with them aware of the abilities and unhurt. Obviously there is the fact that Homunculus are immortal, but pretend it was still possible for them to win! =>

I myself am putting Greed in. I think he would beat the duo pretty easily with his invincibility and combat-savvyness. Wrath is potentially more dangerous with his alchemy, but not in as refined and direct a manner as being kicked hard enough to rend steel super-fast. =)

And I think Ed would just clap his hands and boil Sloth away. Hahaha! If it was to kill, Lust might be tied, since she seems to be able to attack faster then can be seen. Gluttony's of a similar caliber in the physical department, but way too stupid in comparison to pimpy.

i think greed would be strong, not only has he have this invulnerable armour but also a hell of a lot of exp.

Although Wrath can use the great alchemy or whatever,
Ed could face off against him, but din stand a chance against Greed.

Of course, we know that Greed is pretty slow. I mean, missing Ed?

Envy could dodge him, but in time, all Envy can do is run away.

Where's conceit/pride? I've always concidered it the worst.

Also, isn't lust and gluttony the same sin? They're both an urging for physically pleasures.

we're talkin about the Sins in fullmetal alchemist....

second,

Lust and Gluttony are different. Although there's no list of the seven deadly sins in the bible, it think catholics consider these sins to be mortal sins.

As of Ep.32 I vote for Greed.

Ed couldn't even knock him down and his Ultimate Shield must mean he's got massive defensive abilities. He's fast, but not as fast as Envy but that combined with his defense makes him seriously strong.

If you ask me, Greed wasn't /really/ trying to hit Ed after Kimberly (snicker Jork snicker) distracted, since he was standing behind him a couple seconds before attacking and did it almost lazily. I think he wanted to show off the Ultimate Shield first.

But if I had to place it, I would say Greed is probably faster then Ed. Look at the intro, he dodged Ed like Envy dodged Greed. If he's invincible even when he IS hit, ouch. =) I'm not sure if Lust or Envy is the fastest one, though. Leaning towards Lust after #32.

I think it's quite impossible to tell who is the strongest. Everyone of them has his strengths.

but if i had to chose i'd say:

Sloth, because of her water powers. If she can capture someone in her body and if this one is no homunculus, she could easily drown him to death. And if someone is captured inside her body it seems she has the full control over him (wrath wasn't able to do anything inside her and seemed to sleep(?)) so shes strength at land and certainly in the water.

Wrath. He's shown that he has some pretty formidable combat skills, probably not equal to the rest of the sins, but with the use of alchemy, he could probably even get through Greed's defenses.

Pride will probably be the strongest, though, basically because he/she/it hasn't been shown yet, but pride is already known to the other sins as one commented somethinga long the lines of "Now all 7 of us are here."

Slightly off topic, anyone else think Pride will probably be Ed/Al's mom? It makes sense, plus in 32 Al tried to start a conversation with Ed about the possibility of that, or at least I got that impression.

otherwise they wouldn't be calling him "father"

are u talking about sloth?

altho wrath has potential, he's jus a kid. if ed can whoop him, any of the sins can kill him

(but you are probably right about the greed thing....)

As Sonhex said, it's completely obvious that Pride is not the mother of Ed and Al because Sloth is.

For the record, SLOTH IS THE HOMUNCULUS OF ED AND AL'S MOTHER.

Hm.. I really don't know.

All I'll say is that I really doubt its Greed.... Envy already sealed him up once before for over a century. Granted that doens't really mean that Envy beat Greed in a fight, but given Envy's tone and his ease at dodging Greed's attacks, I get a feeling Envy can take Greed.

Its either Sloth, Lust, or Envy for me. Gluttony seems too childish and wrath really is just a kid.

Of course, this ignores Pride.. supposedly the deadliest of the seven sins.

Hmm.. To me Lust, Envy, Gluttony, and Greed are strong (Greed of those 4 IMO) but... I think Sloth and Wrath are Alot Stronger, why? Sloth can turn into a Liquid.. Which means, Probably easily Defeat everyone (Except Wrath, Cuz of the Alchemy) ...

I think they are equal to each other. Which is in my opinion, that a sin can't kill another sin.
Which would lead to that a human must do it for them..
Maybe they still have to discover that?

This isn't the Sins fighting each other. This is the Sins fighting Alphonse and Edward. Since we all know Greed would get with Lust, feed Envy to Gluttony, boil Sloth, and send Wrath to a babysitter if this was a fight between themselves...

I'll post my own little ideas thusly. Lust, Ultimate Halberd Spoiler: She's obviously pretty fast, but the extent of it is unknown. Hughes managed to dodge an assault, but she seemed to vastly underestimate him at the time. It's been able to slice through everything with masterful ease, as well as impale even Al (Who has resisted gunfire) and not show any real hesitation. Recently it seems she used her Ultimate Halberd to kill the hapless man that almost caused another Ishbal massacre, by launching them faster then the eye could see like gunfire. This would make her way more deadly in my opinion, but her reactions seem slow. She didn't dodge Marco, and she didn't dodge Hughes, and Scar evaded her pretty much unhurt, although she did catch up poor Al. Gluttony, Ultimate Eater? Spoiler: Gluttony seems one of the strongest physical Sins, able to bite through anything with an acidic undertone. He is also very fast in speed and reaction and attack, but not as fast as Scar. (Comparing unhurt Scar to Gluttony, and then unhurt Scar to Ed, makes it seem that Gluttony would beat the crap out of Ed and Al.) He seems to not care about being hurt given his immortality, almost a juggernaut in battle enough to even overtake who I think is the strongest melee person. (Although whether Scar is stronger then Izumi and Armstrong isn't the topic by any means!) Envy, Ultimate Monster? Spoiler: A shapeshifter. This seems to have no combat use, but Envy has shown a remarkable agility, ability to dodge, and acrobatic grace with assaults such as kicks, able to even grab someone from Izumi. Despite this all, I would say that Envy's not in the running compared to some of the other Sin's... Greed, Ultimate Shield Spoiler: A Sin with a large amount of apparent invulnerability, enough that Ed's hardest unblocked punch didn't hurt him. Whether it has a weakness is unknown, nor if it would work on other things, but he has displayed a massive strength, ability to leap with ease, movement roughly on par with that of Envy, and impressive physical skills. He leveled Ed with one punch. If they show more of his fight in 33, I'll hopefully be able to gauge it more... Sloth, Ultimate Liquid? Spoiler: Physical abilities seem to be lethargic at best, but she has shown the ability to drown people, create cyclones of gargantuan size that seem to intimidate Greed, and making herself at least partially into water in order to accept Wrath into her body or move through the ocean at tremendous speed. She would likely be the strongest in water since no other Sin could quite match that twink-torrent, but ouutside it is another question... Wrath, Ultimate Alchemy? Spoiler: A Sin able to use alchemy, as well as use his arms to create chimeras of his body with inanimate objects. From turning his fist into stone, phasing through walls, turning into a partially-living bed, or causing his leg to force massive spikes, and even massive amounts of tentacle-like ribbons, it's definately impressive. He's shown quick speed and dexterity since the onset of his appearance, and an amount of strength that's pretty incredible, but seemingly less then Al's (Who is apparently less then Armstrong, who I personally think is less then Greed) as well as duplicating the stunts such as making a polearm. Hmm. Since there's no info on Pride, I'm not putting it in. As for who they are fighting, imagine it is Ed and Al together with them aware of the abilities and unhurt. Obviously there is the fact that Homunculus are immortal, but pretend it was still possible for them to win! =>

Comments on the other Sins (some Ep.32 spoilers): Spoiler: Lust - she redeemed herself in Ep.32 with her rapid fire Halbard attack (especially as she dispatched that slimeball Loki), but as she's already been 'killed' twice in the show she's not a real contender. Gluttony - definately has the scariest attack but his skill should be renamed the 'Ultimate Sheep' as he follows Lust everywhere. Sloth - I don't think we've seen the extent of her powers but her water based attacks seem quite effective. An ability quite limited on dry land though... Wrath - definately fast and aggressive but is still an inexperienced fighter, with the added bonus of Alchemy could become a very dangerous once he's learned how to use his powers, but so far hasn't really done much damage (except to Izumi's jacket). Envy - not much of a fighter, but fast and that metamorph skill makes 'him' very dangerous. Greed calls him a 'monster', so perhaps there's more to Envy's abilities than we know ... Pride - come on, he's got to be the strongest of them all (see sig) - I expect BIG things of Pride...
