Ok in the pic there is a wheelchair so I take it one of them is a paraplegic Persocon.

Or the owner is partially paralized. The pic of all the different dolls together is really cute. Especially the one with the blue Kimino.

Of course I don't see this as being totally weird because I read a slashdot article this morning stating that the Japanese were moving to a system that used robots for assisted living. Persocons/Chobits like robots aren't too far behind.

There was an article in the New York Times yesterday about that (the assisted living, not the persocons... heh). Showed an elderly Japanese woman in some sort of vertical coffin, except her head was exposed. Turns out it's an auto-washing & massaging bath.

The world will soon be overrun by bathbots!

They're... err.. <<;; "dolls for adults". In Japan they seem to sell a lot of those.. And instead of being modeled after porn stars, they're often made to look like anime characters.. However, some are even more realistic looking than that. [ some are really creepy... ]

If you ask how I know that, I have an answer. I was looking through Japanese doll making sites and ended up finding a lot of websites where they sell that type of dolls..

Those are dolls. Dolls cannot walk by themselves. So, if you don't want to carry them around all the time, the most comfortable solution is a wheelchair. Probably they transported both of them in the wheelchair.

There's actually a site out there called Real Doll (no, I will not provide a link. Find it yourself if you're that curious) that has actually been doing something similar to this using hollywood special effects techniques to make real life sex dolls for quite a few years, and believe me, the dolls are VERY realistic. Just look at the pics. You'd swear that you were looking at photos of real people.

So the japanese ero-doll's is not a new concept, but the thought that they're as popular as they are IS scary.

My God. Lord Raiden is absolutely right. I just went to the main page (good idea you didn't provide the link; it's kind of porn) and gee... only if you are very very critical and make some assumptions could you confirm that it'sa real person. It isn't! Yikes.

I don't think even my own brother is so much of a loser to do that man... There are some really nice girls out who'd go out with them if only they opened up and were willing to change any really bad habits instead of expecting everyone to change for them.
