I always thought that was how they looked "human" for when Rikuo was in school. Besides, we see Tsurara's mother 400 years ago and they look very similar, if they had other forms she probably would've been in it for the fight in Kyoto.

Tsurara changes her height i think. Shes taller than Rikuo in his day form otherwise.

Yuki-onna looks like a maiden anyway. I thought the literal translation is "Snow Woman". So what you are seeing now is most likely her true form.

Well it certainly seems as if the rumor's about Tsuchigumo's strength aren't exaggerated, he's strong. I mean he was able to defeat or kill most of Rikuo's Hyakki Yakou - though they weren't any of the main character's just small fries. Anyway from the looks of it Tsuchigumo's fear is making him bigger - at least that's what it looked like.

Well from the looks of it something is starting to happen with Rikuo, judging from what kind of expression Hidemoto had (or he may be exited over something.)

I also got to say that the last picture of Rikuo and his companions on the last panel was something really nice, in my opinion

Is it just me, or will we finally someone fighting with many character's against a common enemy, since I kind of doubt that Rikuo, will be able to beat Tsuchigumo on his own, but maybe I shouldn't underestimate Rikuo's abilities.

Why is Hidemoto so afraid of Tsuchigumo. I mean it could mean that he has a pretty unique source of fear to begin with, which is why Hidemoto is so adamant about not fighting with him, but running away. Maybe we will learn more about Tsuchigumo's power's in the next chapter, but I have a felling that they won't defeat Tsuchigumo this time ... rather he will be forced to retreat soon, since they are still at the same location as before, right ... and Tsuchigumo is one of the guys that has to be sealed again, which means that his final battle will take place in the area, where he is supposed to be sealed, right. So I don't think that Tsuchigumo will be defeated in the current battle ... that takes place at this moment

Shikigami or not. I think even Hidemoto 400 years ago couldn't take him on directly, that's why he needed to seal him away instead of defeating him and the reason why Tsuchigomo calls him a coward.

Sure, Tsuchigomo is very strong. But I think there must be a deeper meaning in saying that he's an ayakashi that they must not encounter. Maybe there's a secret to his existence, or his seal, or that he has a special role to defeating Kitsune later on.

I'm still of the opinion that Hidemoto is telling them to run away because he's too powerful a foe for them to take on.

Besides his immense physical strength, the legend described the Tsuchigumo as:

From this we can assume this is only the tip of his powers. His "fear" might be overwhelming.

And interesting enough Tsuchigumo was mostly portrayed as a woman.
