Animation has certainly taken a hit in this episode, but only in some moments and especially at the beginning; other than that, it's above average.

Athena & Alicia display of skill is somewhat an overkill but it's Aria and they are 2 fairies so insane skill is permited.

Seems after years spend with Akari, Aika got corrupted by the Suteki overload mode.
Suteki always win in the end

Notice the inner logic in the EP 4-5-6 sequence :

I demand Navigation 52 be animated, just for the sheer spectacle involved (although I pity the poor animators who would have to make it work).

Grandmother as the spirit of Neo Venezia on the Doge's barge, marrying herself to the sea while the Undines kneel in respect. Yes!

This is one of my favourite "Neo Venezia" episodes, where the focus moves away from the Singles or the Primas and brings the real star of Aria, the city itself to the fore.

Shame that the season for that chapter has already passed :s, and I recall an Aika chapter in volume 9 I've been itching to see animated as well.

Interesting how the singles a the Tragetto realised just how far they have to go after seeing Akari's skill level.

I'm also thinking that the strict Testing Instructor at Orange Planet is Athena.

It's always interesting to see how some one getting elite training is exposed to those who are the "B" class when it comes to training and skill level. And for the "B"s to see how far they have to go.

You have to keep in mind that Orange Planet is a HUGE company (the largest Undine company in Neo-Venezia) - and given that there is no evidence of any sort of interaction between them, the chances of Athena having even met Atora or Anzu are slim to none.

I also don't really consider Akari the recipient of "elite training", given most of Akari's time is spent practicing with Aika and Alice, and in comparison, we rarely if ever see her on a gondola with Alicia or any other Prima. Nor do I consider the trio here to be B-class at all - we see so little of them that we can't really evaluate their skills, and I always considered them to be Akari's equal in rowing skill despite their surprise at how quickly Akari learns new skills.

I remember aika has some hot civilan outfit too(the outfit that she wear when she falls down into a well with al kun)

the new cover of the manga vol 12 is created already, so it means we will know the ending chapter real soon, yay~~

I don't know if i'm just GL obsessed, though most of episode 04's dialogue just had me remembering Kamina's hot blooded passion. That and the episode title.

Anyway that was a great episode yet again. I really enjoyed seeing these new singles and how they interact with one another. Especially Atora, she is favorite character material --- i'm gonna have to watch this episode again at the weekend just for her alone. Sure hope we see more of them soon.

And wow, the animation for this episode was at it's best, face close up shots and all. I don't think i've ever seen Aria look so good.

Guess that Ai is going to be next member of the Aria Company so she must have the Ara ara & the Ufufu whose are trademarks of the Aria Company.
