I don't get why no second season of Fruits Basket is made. I mean, the manga has ended. No more risk of running out of chapters and ruining it with "fillers". The anime just simply ended, so no crucial changes were made that render a second season impossible (like say, compared to Get Backers). Fruits Basket is extremely popular, and would have an enormous amount of people watching it just from that.
So I wonder what's holding the producers back? (Unless it's the manga creator/company) |

Maybe because the 2nd half of the manga sucked?
All the magic was gone, and it was just really cliche "Lets all get emo" stuff (the last chapter excluded). Seriously, FB is one of the cases in which a) the manga is better, and b) more material doesnt equal better series. It turned into a cash cow that was milked at least 75 chapters beyond its "best before" date. |

& i agree, Vampire Knight is one hell of a manga. Just thinking about which artist they'd get to make the musical score gives me goosebumps.

I'll throw in a vote for Hayashiya Shizuru's action/slapstick yuri comedy Hayate Cross Blade; it's up to 6 volumes and a drama cd or two, so who knows whether an anime adaptation already lurks in its future.
Heck, they should do a split half hour show like Akahori Gedou and do HXB as the first half, then split the second half between her shorter works like Strawberry Shake (yuri comedy) and Sister Red (dark-ish vampire story) |

i'd like to see an animated version of Land of the Blindfolded by Tsukuba Sakura.. it consists of 9 volumes..
i think it would be great if this manga series will have an animated version, one of the nicest romance-shoujo manga i've read.. ^-^v |

I would so like to see Jiraishin by Tsutomu Takahashi animated. Heck, any Takahashi work would satisfy me immensely. Freesia by Jiro Matsumoto would be orgasmic as well. Engaging plots and complex characters compared to most lacklustre mangas out there. Too bad though they don't get much recognition aside from a cult following.

Angel Sanctuary. The OVA was nothing to be impressed with, though it did look pretty. If they could do the entire series, with the entire cast and plot (though I imagine the anime version would have a different ending), I would squeal like a little girl.
If they did THAT, then they could get to work on both of the Earl Cain series. Oh happy happy Kaori Yuki-loving day! |

Parasyte
Del Rey has picked-up publishing it again. Unfortunately, it never seemed to have achieved more than cult success. Lucky for me, I nabbed the first volume that I found at Borders when they started publishing again. And it's actually nice that Del Rey is packing them into 2-volumes-per-book format. Most excellent. Most of what I like has already been animated, or was already done better in the manga (i.e. Monster, Claymore, Love Hina and Nausicaa: The Valley of the Wind). I would also like to see a new Berserk arc in all its glory. Though I wouldn't mind seeing the Battle Angel Alita and Battle Angel Alita: Last Order getting more than a mere OVA. But I'm betting as soon as something like Berserk or Alita is announced, it'll be licensed. So Parasyte. It's obscure enough for me to nab the fansubs before it gets licensed. First of all, I want Demon Detective Nougami Neuro and Muhyo and Roji's Burea of Superatural Investigation animated. They are long running Jump series that have both surpassed 10 volumes. Honestly! It's about damn time for an anime for these two series. Why haven't they been animated?
I also want an anime for MPD Psycho, although that would probably be way too gruesome for television. Well, there was a Mini-series. I also wouldn't mind it if they animated the rest of Bobobo including the new manga. |
