I think that's a bit young. I always imagined him being somewhat close to Battler's age... which would make him 30 in 1998. Considering his line of work and his experience and talent, I don't think it's too far fetched, and a person can still seem younger than they are if they're active enough I guess.

But there could be a hint to him being younger for all I know and you could be right.

His build is a lot older than that of a teenager, but not too old. So I would say around late 20's, early 30's. As Maho Momo said, it was mentioned he did a lot of military jobs before becoming Ange's bodyguard in 1998.

Yeah, I was confusing the timelines as usual, but he's a mercenary with lots of experience with fighting and protecting, so I'd say he could be between 25-30.

It was also mentioned that he once worked for Blackwater, the same mercenary group that caused America problems in Iraq when they did a few non-contractual things...

I wonder, would anyone happen to have every anime official designs? I've scoured the net but I can't find anything related to Sakutaro cutemode, Virgilia and EVA-Beatrice.

I've seen scans in a Nico Nico video, so they definitely exist. Even for alternate outfits like Maria's EP4 anime outfit. Unfortunately I don't know where to find them, I'm guessing they're in an artbook or something.

I'm making a little book of notes in which there's the profile of every character and I'm drawing a picture for each that take in their head, chest and often down to the waist for a pictural representation. Kinda like a small umineko wiki in a notebook. I do it at college between classes and I often don't have access to the anime, and I'm a little bad in drawing so that's why I'm looking for a paper visual support. I'm up at the witches now and I'm having trouble finding their designs, except for Beato, Lambda and Bern.

It doesn't have every single design. But a lot of the ones that aren't on the anime site or can't be found elsewhere are there I believe.

Also, thank you for that video, it was the right one and it helped me; though my quest for close-ups is still going on at least I have a model now. Shame he only put the overall designs and not the face close-ups too.

Not sure if this has been asked before but I'm currently reading Ep5 and I got to thinking... how much was 200 billion yen in dollars back in 1986? Weird question but I'm curious to know...

All those zero's freak me out too, but wasn't it 20 billion yen, not 200? I used 20 billion in the answer, so if I'm wrong, just add another zero.

Anyway, 20 billion yen currently amounts to about 222,5 million dollars. I wouldn't know how to calculate its worth in 1986 though.
Anyway, it's more than enough money, lol.
