The opening to Dragonball when it was first released in the US (You know the one where you had to wake up at five in the morning?) that was horrid. Rock the Dragon from DBZ is up there too and the opening to Yu Gi Oh GX. It sounds like some Good Charolote wantabes.

How about in Pichi Pichi Pitch where they meet the bad guys who can also "sing", as if the mermaids singing wasn't bad enough. That and I have to agree about the rap, never could stand rap even in english.

That's my one gripe about MMPPP besides Ruchia's BAD voice. >_< The singing is not good enough to be in a singing anime. If you're going to make it a singing anime, do a hell of a better job than that!

Hands down, the very, very worst: Tokino's karaoke song in episode 21 of Kujibiki Unbalance.

Of course, that was supposed to be awful....

The worst that wasn't trying to be bad for comedy value: that awful "Stage Fright" song that replaced Mari Ijima's original Minmei music from Super Dimension Fortress Macross in the North American mangling, Robotech.

The "Yellow Dancer" music aping Yellow Belmont from Mospeada wasn't much better. (And Blue Rain In My Soul is a good enough song that it's a shame that they cut it.)

Wings of Words ffrom Gundam Seed Destiny!!! I think it is the 4th or 5th opening.. -.- it is really disgusting.. =___= makes me hate gundam seed destiny more..

Oooh dishing out the hate on bad music

First, almost anything by Yuki Kajiura. Monotonous and repetitive, and it sounds the same from show to show, with the occasional good song. Thankfully, Chiba Saeko is a good enough singer to make a great album despite her involvement.

Next is Taku Iwasaki (Soko ni iru Boku, R.O.D) whose music is similar. If they can keep him away from the keyboards, he's actually decent.

And any song with heavy engrish, those drive me up the wall.

I'll have to counter the hate for Sobakasu, I ended up buying pretty much every Judy and Mary album from 1994-1998 that they released when I went to Japan. Siam Shade too, although I never watched the 3rd season episodes their song was the ED for.

Many of the other OPs mentioned here are equally bad:

- Wings of Words (geh)
- Anime Ja Nai (wtf)

Wings of Words is undeniably bad, though. Holy god. If I hadn't already hated Destiny for other reasons, that song would have been bad enough to cause it.

Da Capo S.S. opening - not so bad at all, but if you compare it to first season opening... Don't like the voice of the singer, too.

I can usually tolerate most theme songs long enough to hear them through once or twice. Unfortunately, I also watch anime with someone who insists on playing the theme every single time we watch anything. I watched three discs of Sugar {Chicchana Yukitsukai Sugar} in one evening. I still have nightmares about the opening theme.

Yeah...I haven't seen that much One Piece, but all the music sucketh. The same could be said for most music from any Dragon Ball series.
