Do we ever see Tenten fight again?

This one's for you manga readers...

Do we ever see characters like Tenten, who've basically dropped out of the series, fight again? For that matter, how about Hinata, Chouji, Kiba, Ino, and Neji?

Thanks!

agree with Hobogod-san, Kyuven-san don't reveal the story. The asked info is already answered.

On a totally unrelated note;

Did anyone else notice that Naruto has a Pakkun keychain?

Kakashi summons a dog in ep 69 and it goes with Sakura, Naruto and Shikamaru to track Sasuke.

In episode 20 at 2:19 minutes Toriyama's world Naruto locks the door of his house. We see the keychain on his housekey is Pakkun.

Love that little detail. I wonder how many little things like that I've missed.

As said earlier the answer on Ten Ten is no as well as some of the other characters. Its unfortunate that with such an excellent amount of characters that they would be in fights more often but only time will tell. So far Ten Ten has gotten her butt whooped in her matches so we don't really know how strong she is. Only time will tell.

A lot probably.

As far as seeing TenTen fight again...what do you mean "again"? Did we ever see her fight in the first place? I know why Guy makes that team of Genin wait a year before taking the Chuunin exam.

By that logic Kakashi should've made his team wait a year.

Lee = Naruto = Useless
Sakura = Tenten = Useless

Neji = Sasuke = Number One Rookie.

actually tenten's fighting style seemed pretty kool to me.. she was sumwhat of a woepons expert and had suposedly perfect marksmenship.... her style just wasn't good against temari and her wind attack.... and also tenten didnt use her mind... if it doesnt work the 1st time .. why the hell would it work the next 2 times. but her i liked her fighting style..and her special was pretty kool. and also about putting things in the anime like the pakkun keychain... Naruto world does that all the time.. the manga has doneit for a long time...especially the cover pages for the manga... for a long time it showed naruto with a toad or sittin on a toad.. or sumthing with a toad way before naruto ever even met jariaya

Yep that's what i think too. I can expect a character like Hinata to show up again with some hope, since she's more than just a random fighter (she's part of an important clan, she's the girl who has a crush on Naruto)...and Ino too (sakura's rival, raises sasuke's "popularity level") some characters seem to be there for reasons relevant to plot development, while others like Tenten seemed to be no more than interesting fighters who "fill in" certain spots.
So basically, when the authors want to develop an area of the plot, they're gonna have to call back some of the characters, while others are not really needed, or important, anymore.

Uh...Lee fully has to repent for failing in missions early on, remember? Naruto actually proves himself during the bridge mission in Wave Country with his determination to succeed, his teamwork with Sasuke and then overpowering Haku.

Neji just keeps beating the crap out of Lee, and Tenten doesn't seem to like him either.

Speaking of Tenten's fighting ability:

Except that Neji can block them all too. It also doesn't matter how well you aim and hit a target. Any decent ninja in this anime so far can just knock it out of the way. The first time we saw shuriken and kunai actually hit ninja, it was during the invasion, where for some reason, people just left themselves wide open. She's useless without a teammate to occupy and/or immobilize the target.

Thanks everybody!

But as for Tenten as a fighter, yeah, it's true what Random Guy said above, but look at her Twin Rising Dragons special -- that's a crapload of weapons! It must be pretty hard to avoid so many weapons at once. I think she could beat the crap of some ninjas with that many weapons at a time. It didn't work on Temari, but I wonder if she ever tried it on Neji? It wouldn't work on Lee without his weights, but ...

Anyway, I'm sure you get my point. ^^

Tenten would probably provide supressive fire for Lee and Neji - 2 close range specialists. She doesn't have to do any damage to be effective, all she has to do is pin down people. While Neji and Lee close in, she covers their move with shuriken and attempts to pin one target down with a sustained volley of weapons. With her accuracy, she could probably safely toss a few into melee for additional diversionary attacks or if the foe is concentrating solely on hth. While she's not the best in a 1 v 1 fight in an enclosed space, it seems like she'd be fairly effective on a team.

Also, even though a kaiten or similar move shuts down her offense, it also keeps the other guy busy. If Neji is spinning around in place because he needs to block a hundred knives, he's not beating up you or teammates. Keeping him busy defending could buy the time you need to run away, beat down his allies, or bypass him.

Not much of a strategy though when used one on one. Anyone with half a brain could see the weapons coming, and any well trained genin should be able to dodge. Besides, you could attack TenTen at anytime during her little DragonDance and should've been done for.

She's tried it on Neji. She's training him for the Finals, you see her and Neji in the forest, all the weapons on the ground. She says, "Perfect, not a single one hit...again." or something like that.

Bah, no one cares about Tenten. Random Child J can beat her ass.

However, EVERYONE cares about Anko and *REALLY* wants her to make more appearances.

?

Anyway, Tenten kind of got the shaft as far as matches went. Hers was the only one (in the manga) where NONE of it was shown, and so the animators got free license to make up every single frame of the battle. Considering the way the other matches (and for that matter, pretty much every battle in the series to date) went, I'm relatively sure that the mangaka didn't have such a one-sided shutout in mind.
