A doujin of a "happy FSN ending" would be little different from Ah My Goddess...regular guy, a sweet girl that likes him, a mischievous sexy girl running around (Rin), and an innocent one (Sakura)...
Though that wouldn't be too bad...but blech, it made no sense for Saber to leave. Why would she go back and die rather than stay and live?

Well I think she did it to complete her duty as a person and king. Apparently she learned to accept her life and go through with it instead of changing it to where she never became King at all. I think in that sense it gave her peace, seeing how she passed away. Not being to stay with Shiro is probably like a sacrifice "for the greater good" type of thing for the both of them but yeah, it was a rather sad thing to concede to. I did like the fact that she did give in to her feelings vocally at the end. I believe that line was much deserved for Shiro and made him feel a little better about the situation. Would have REALLY sucked if she just disappeared without telling him that. |

yup, but isnt it sad? why must it be that sad?
i enjoyed watching F/SN until the last half of it, in which the theme of the story ends up in a romantic one... its ok for me though, but the series ends in a very sad fate for shiro and saber it seems that all the fighting they went through and the sacrifice for each other turns out to be useless... it made me cry every time i recall it... |

If you want to see a happy ending you can play this fan made game, where shiro and saber live together and some how saber didn't die
http://64.62.145.168:6969/torrents/F...ce.rar.torrent God I have been depressed for like the past week because the ending was so wrong and painful. I wish it could have been a happy ending? Last edited by danaman; 2007-06-23 at 03:15. |

Maybe itīs a happy ending. The question is after she said this thime my sleep will take a lil bit longer: Is she dead or is she back at Shirou? I donīt know what do you think?
An other question: Will there be a continuation of the Anime? I real real hope so |

Not sure about a continuation to the anime, but there is a "fan-disc" sequel to the visual novel game called Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. |

After she parts with Shirou, she returns to her past as Arturia, and is brought to the time shortly after she has been mortally wounded from battling Mordred (during flashback who dies calling Saber 'Father'). She is found sitting against the foot of the tree by Sir Bedivere. Arturia tells Bedivere about a wonderful dream she has had. Bedivere tells Arturia to rest while he sends for reinforcements to save Arturia. However, Arturia tells Bedivere to give Excalibur back to Vivian in the lake. In the following scenes, Bedivere is shown riding his horse to the lake and giving Excalibur back to Vivian, while leaves fall in the forest. Arturia is shown slowly falling asleep, but she no longer regrets the life she has chosen and is thankful for the memories she had with Shirou. Bedivere completes his task and returns to Arturia, who reveals her sleep will be a little long. As Arturia closes her eyes, Bedivere says the final line of the show, "Do you behold... King Arthur... the continuation to your dream?", which implies she has died.

Most Servants are Heroic Spirits, dead heroes. Arturia is the exception. |

Nah it was the appropriate ending. Really sad though. I think that the ending shows what happened in the past, in which Saber dies.... before she became a servant. Maybe its a cycle over? Or maybe she chose to die for good?

Saber goes back to her timeline, and shows her waking up from her dream. That dream is her fighting as Servant in fourth and fifth Holy Grail Wars. Saber somehow made a pact with the world to become a Servant after the fall of her kingdom, which is also a reason why she can't turn into a spiritual form like Archer. The last quote says "Do you behold, King Arthur, the continuation of your dream?", which implies she has died.
