Well then both side will disagree with you and start attacking you, just like when Shirou gave up his command mantras in the game. (to be killed by Berserker but killed by Saber first)

love and peace brothers.. Lets just end the story in there or in the creators. If you like to change something, why not make doujin of fsn, that way u will be satisfied.

A doujin of a "happy FSN ending" would be little different from Ah My Goddess...regular guy, a sweet girl that likes him, a mischievous sexy girl running around (Rin), and an innocent one (Sakura)...

Though that wouldn't be too bad...but blech, it made no sense for Saber to leave. Why would she go back and die rather than stay and live?

Well I think she did it to complete her duty as a person and king. Apparently she learned to accept her life and go through with it instead of changing it to where she never became King at all. I think in that sense it gave her peace, seeing how she passed away.

Not being to stay with Shiro is probably like a sacrifice "for the greater good" type of thing for the both of them but yeah, it was a rather sad thing to concede to.

I did like the fact that she did give in to her feelings vocally at the end. I believe that line was much deserved for Shiro and made him feel a little better about the situation. Would have REALLY sucked if she just disappeared without telling him that.

It also gave her grace. Peace, and grace.

I personally also feel that her approval of him gave him the courage and determination to continue on thru his ultimately lonely and hard life, without regrets.

yup, but isnt it sad? why must it be that sad?
i enjoyed watching F/SN until the last half of it,
in which the theme of the story ends up in a romantic one...

its ok for me though, but the series ends in a very sad fate for shiro and saber
it seems that all the fighting they went through and the sacrifice for each other
turns out to be useless...
it made me cry every time i recall it...

Don't worry, Shiro will see Saber again, in the future, because Archer is the older version of Shiro. Where Shiro later turns into a servant, and travels back in time to witness Shiro and Saber.

If you want to see a happy ending you can play this fan made game, where shiro and saber live together and some how saber didn't die

God I have been depressed for like the past week because the ending was so wrong and painful. I wish it could have been a happy ending?

An other question: Will there be a continuation of the Anime?

It implies she is dead. (I can't add spoilers)

Not sure about a continuation to the anime, but there is a "fan-disc" sequel to the visual novel game called Fate/Hollow Ataraxia.

After she parts with Shirou, she returns to her past as Arturia, and is brought to the time shortly after she has been mortally wounded from battling Mordred (during flashback who dies calling Saber 'Father'). She is found sitting against the foot of the tree by Sir Bedivere. Arturia tells Bedivere about a wonderful dream she has had. Bedivere tells Arturia to rest while he sends for reinforcements to save Arturia. However, Arturia tells Bedivere to give Excalibur back to Vivian in the lake. In the following scenes, Bedivere is shown riding his horse to the lake and giving Excalibur back to Vivian, while leaves fall in the forest. Arturia is shown slowly falling asleep, but she no longer regrets the life she has chosen and is thankful for the memories she had with Shirou. Bedivere completes his task and returns to Arturia, who reveals her sleep will be a little long. As Arturia closes her eyes, Bedivere says the final line of the show, "Do you behold... King Arthur... the continuation to your dream?", which implies she has died.

This is not true. If Servants can only be summoned after their death, then Shirou and Archer cannot be in the same timeline because...

Sorry but I have to stop here due to the thread rules.

She made a pact with the world, which allowed her to become a Servant without actually dying. Her inability to dematerialize is actually related to this, since she really isn't a spirit yet.

Most Servants are Heroic Spirits, dead heroes. Arturia is the exception.

look@this
Quote:
Her full name is Arturia Pendragon, and her creation as a character was inspired by the legends of King Arthur. Arturia is the daughter of British King Uther Pendragon and Igraine, a former Duchess of Cornwall. At her nativity, Uther realizes his subjects will never accept a female as a legitimate ruler, and decides to not publicly announce Arturia's birth or gender. She is entrusted by Merlin to a loyal knight, Sir Ector, who raises her as a surrogate son. When Arturia is fifteen, King Uther dies, and with no known eligible heir to the throne, Britain enters a period of turmoil following the growing threat of invasion by the Saxons. Merlin soon approaches her, explaining that the British people will recognize her as a destined ruler if she withdraws Caliburn, a ceremonial sword embedded in a large slab of stone. However, pulling this sword is symbolic of accepting the hardships of a monarch, and Arturia will be responsible for preserving the welfare of her people. Without hesitation, and despite her gender, she draws Caliburn and shoulders Britain's mantle of leadership.

Arturia rules Britain from her stronghold in Camelot, and earns the reputation of a just, yet distant king. Under the guidance of Merlin and with the aid of her Knights of the Round Table, she guides Britain into an era of prosperity and tranquillity. Caliburn is destroyed, but Arturia soon acquires her holy sword, Excalibur, and Avalon, Excalibur's blessed sheath, from Vivian. While Avalon is in her possession, Arturia never ages and is immortal in battle.

Throughout her reign, Arturia is plagued by feelings of guilt and inferiority; she sacrifices her emotions for the good of Britain, yet many of her subjects become critical of her lack of humanity. Excalibur's scabbard is stolen while she repels an assault along her country's borders; when Arturia returns inland, she discovers Britain is being torn asunder by civil unrest. Despite her valiant efforts to placate the dissent, Arturia is mortally wounded by a traitorous knight, a homunculus born of her blood named Mordred, during the Battle of Camlann. Her dying body is escorted to a holy isle by Morgan le Fay and Sir Bedivere. Arturia orders a grieving Bedivere to dispose of Excalibur by throwing it back to Vivian; in her absence, she reflects on her personal failures, regretting her life as king. Before her last breath, she appeals to the world; in exchange for services as a Heroic Spirit, she asks to be given an opportunity to relive her life, where someone more suitable and effective would lead Britain in her stead.

Nah it was the appropriate ending. Really sad though. I think that the ending shows what happened in the past, in which Saber dies.... before she became a servant. Maybe its a cycle over? Or maybe she chose to die for good?

Saber goes back to her timeline, and shows her waking up from her dream. That dream is her fighting as Servant in fourth and fifth Holy Grail Wars. Saber somehow made a pact with the world to become a Servant after the fall of her kingdom, which is also a reason why she can't turn into a spiritual form like Archer. The last quote says "Do you behold, King Arthur, the continuation of your dream?", which implies she has died.
