Obviously, they want to see on its full glory:
- Touma + Itsuwa vs Terra.
- Acqua vs Amakusa.
- Accelerator vs Kakine.
- Hamazura vs Mugino.
- Fiamma of the Right.
- Aqua vs KL
- Everyone vs Carissa.

1. Haimura made his first design to be ugly since he thought of him as a one-shot character but didn't know Kamachi would make him the third protagonist of this series .
2. There is no passage from the novels where he is described as ugly.
3. Haimura redesigned and improved his looks without making him look thugless.
4. Touma wasn't exactly a bishonen on his early designs.

...

I didn't know that they were separate projects in that sense. This is good to know

It's good to hear that they will have funding.

Isn't Battle Royal really long though?... I understand they're squeezing everything into 24 episodes... but that leaves so little time for each amazing part...

I now kind of understand how it feels for LN's to be squished in an upcoming anime adaptation because I watched Index I, II before reading the LN's... Now I see some of the annoying aspects of truncating it.

Those fights are definitely exciting and I want to see them. I also want to see Mugino x Frenda

@Hamazura:

I know Hamazura's supposed to look good. I was kidding

I was making fun of the fact that Haimura thought it was going to be a one-shot

I was also kidding about Terra of the Left. Though... in his case, on the Index pyramid chart he really does have an ugly face...

You know as much as I like the new art style in the new season of Railgun, I hope they don't use it in the next Index season. I really liked the way the last two arcs of Index II looked.

I do agree though that even though I love Railgun S animation, the end of season 2 was definitely the best I have seen so far. (I just didn't like Vento's chain thing in her tongue but meh)...

Sure. Why not. The visuals look pretty great. I hope there are more movie commercials during the stream tomorrow/this morning.

Railgun S is adapting Fuyukawa's artstyle, right?

Index II looked a bit more closer to Haimura's later designs.

The two Animes uses Yuichi Tanaka and Tomonori Kuroda as the character design and art director respectively.

Comparing the Index Movie and Railgun S, they're essentially the same.

Ah, okay. I always thought, in the case of an adaption, they have the art team adapt the original art style of the manga/ln/etc.

both medias do just credit Haimura though (just noticed).

Of course, he is the original character designer.

Essentially if they keep to the Movie quality for most parts (I'm willing to close one eye to the action scene animations) they should be able to match Railgun S.

Fall 2014 might actually be possible... I hope even that isn't too rushed.

Also I hope they don't do the punch animation they did in Railgun S. That just looked weird. So far the slow-motion punch of Vento has been the best.

Does it? I kinda like it in Railgun S.

It feels more powerful, and the sound effect was perfect

Project Index has different staffing, right? It should make for a good Winter/Spring 2014 release.

Though that hinges on whether it is announced next month or anytime soon. S was announced around Oct 2012.

I also think the punch in the Vento was the best representation of the Falcon Punch so far.

I made a list of the fights so far:

NT1:
- Hamazura vs Freshmen. Him going kamen rider was cool and he showed good tactics.
- Accelerator was unable to do anything.

NT2:
-Kanzaki vs Mjolnir, good but the pacing was off because it was between the lines...

NT3:
- Not any memorable mention except Birdway crushing Cendrillon like a bug.
- Saronia vs Touma was tedious as hell fter the long boring quest of guessing her power(couldn't they call Index? I call BS and PIS on this).

NT4:
Nope.
- Bersi vs Kihara needed more focuss.
- Touma vs Marian could have been better...if she wasn't injured and mind broken after Bersi's dead.

NT5:
No fighting here.

NT6:
- After a cool masterminds challenge....Accelerator was mentally cornered so there was no way to get a proper against Kakine fight like Vol.15.

- Silvia and Brunhild vs Mikoto and Thor, it was okay but far away from being intense because magicians were holding back.

- Touma vs a holding back Birdway was good and it was her victory if it wasn't by Touma's good luck when getting help.

- Touma vs Thor was great but Thor was holding back his tittle as the Allmighty Thor...

NT7:
- Seria vs Motoharu was good.
- Kuroneko vs Rensa was curbstomping.
- Touma vs Rensa was okay but he had quite the good luck there with his arm.
- Level 5's gathering was more of a skirmish and fanservice.
- Kakine + Touma vs Rensa was okay but Kakine was dissapointing after showing off on NT6.

So far the fights are above average except for Thor which was great but I'm getting tired of magicians holding back.

Science side battles are lacking the intensity Old Testament had and the best so far from NT was Hamazura against Freshmen.

The situations are crazy but the development is lacking.

Now compare those fights with:
Amata vs Accelerator
Kakine vs Accelerator.
Mugino vs Hamazura.
Accelerator vs Aiwass

Acqua vs Itsuwa + Touma because the feelings.
Aqcua vs Itsuwa + Amakusa
Acqua vs Kanzaki
Acqua vs Knight Leader
Carrisa vs Kanzaki + Acqua + Knight Leader + everyone
Fiamma vs Elizarina
Fiamma vs Vento
Touma vs Accelerator
Touma vs Fiamma

The thing is that Index has always aired in the Fall/Winter seasons. I know they broke the pattern with Railgun S but I think they're probably going to snap back into it with Index III.
----
I'm thinking Index III should just adapt Volumes 14-19 while the following season adapts SS2 and WWIII into a 2-cour anime. That way, I feel like it won't be too rushed.

I can because I'm talking about fights only not about the plot and its climax that are a different matter.

Gremlin Arc is near its end in the next 1 or 2 volumes and still the author can't top GRS and AC's darkness pre NT so far.
