There's a magical tree that can send things or people to the past. The characters from the future decided to send letters to their past selves (before the reincarnation).

So now we're back with the original gang, who received the letters from their reincarnated selves, warning them about Inukami so they will be ready to fight him and won't die.

Wow, this was really both shocking and quite depressing to see in the morning .

I really enjoyed the Inu X Boku SS anime and was looking forward to getting into the manga when I had the time, but it's so unfortunate and tragic to see the author pass away. Especially at such a young age .

May she rest in peace...
