Apparently, shows like Naruto and Inu-Yasha, due to popularity and length are really, really expensive compared to 13 and 26 episode anime shows.

But for questions like that you might want to go the Ask John section of http://www.animenation.com. He might have answered it already a while ago, but you should email him and ask.
