Does anyone know what series (if any) this character is from?

It was found under something called "Girl's Avenue" and in vol 96 of Megami there is also something called "Girl's Avenue" and a char that appears to be the same... however, I can't read Japanese so I can't understand any of that stuff. I'm also having a bit of trouble figuring out exactly what "Girl's Avenue" is in the magazine, and searches haven't given me any help...

Girl's Avenue is an artist spot for featured works, so that's 99% likely to be an original work by whichever artist was featured in that issue.

Thanks for your help guys, I had figured that it was likely an original work but you got to wonder.

Ya, I took a look at some of the other things on that site and it's really well done. Heck, one of the reasons I was asking about whether it was from an anime or not was because it looked good enough to be from an anime.

Aha, I knew it sounded familiar, I watched that scene before in the Boys Be anime. And according to Wiki, that scene happened in the manga too. The guy's name is Yoshihiko Kenjo and the girl's name is Aya Kurihara.
Thats it... Thanks. Those 3 manga... I always get their plots confused...

Seen this anime in a few AMVS...

I've been wondering what this anime is after watching a few recent AMVs. The scene I keep seeing is a man sprinting the 100m on a track. The art style is very different, a very dark style with very dark colors. Anyone know what the name of this anime is (the AMVs usually have like 20+ anime in them so it's hard to find it that way)?

Could it be the "World Record" episode from Animatrix?

is AMV linking allowed on this forum? Could always just link a youtube video or something and jot down the time it starts in the video...

Please Help!! Manga-movie: "Once upon a time in....??"

I need some help identifying a manga/anime-film I saw and loved in the mid-late 80's.
I seem to remember it to be a full length film. It think it starts with the lines "once upon a time in ..X(some fancy fiction name)" and perhaps this line is the films title.
Its about a civilization building a huge dam for watersupply. There are plenty of action and war-scenes - some including hot airballons mounted with "laser"guns and a speedy chase on "jetskies" through a swampy wood.
When characters die inside the universe, they become som kind of angels or their souls fly away to a better place..... any clues?
