The only pokemon games I look forward to anymore are remakes (can't wait for the G/S remakes). All the new games hold no interest too me as I just can't come to like the new locations or pokemon.

But putting that aside, glad a thread was made. Though to be frank, the pictures didn't confirm the fifth generation. It was already confirmed when Nintendo announced it directly in their conference thing.

Anyways, with this new game, maybe Nintendo will release Battle Revolution 2 next... Form Change and new trainer graphics.

Generation V already? It's been 11/12 years... but I would of thought... how many more Pokemon can they come up with since it's over 500 already.

If not including Firered Leafgreen Heartgold Soulsilver, shouldn't this game in the next handheld platform instead of NDS?

I haven't been playing since Gold/Silver/Crystal. Still holding out for a tactics game. Hopefully, I'll get to play it before I get a kid, and then I won't have to tell him things like,

"Pokemon Shiny Metal? Man, back in my day, we only had 151 of the damn things, there were no berries, and none of those pansy beauty competitions. We just beat the crap out of each other like real men hiding behind 6 monsters each."

This announcement acctually came as a surprise to me. I wasn't expecting a new gen honestly because in gen 4 we got freaking GOD of all things. What else is there to do?

Ah well as much as I crave for things to return the simplistic ways of the G/S/C days, I'll be getting at least one of the versions for this gen cause I can't bring myself not to. xD;

Well its not as if I don't play the new Pokemon games. I still find pokemon I like that I trade over to my other versions. I still got my Diamond, but I haven't touched it in ages.

The games have improved quite well gameplay wise, however I just find the locals and Pokemon repulsive in the latest generations.

Might as well dust it off and get the Shiny Pichu/Jirachi if you live in the States and feel like it. Well, the Pichu one ends tomorrow so maybe not that.

Me and my freind were talking about the story in generation 5 few days ago we're wondering whether the story will based on destruction of the universe, considering that Arceus is the creator of the universe (it's just like the other side of the coin type of story, I think)

That's what I was just thinking when I read this. The new generation of Pokemon usually goes on the new generation of handheld hardware. That's always been the tradition.

Here are the precious minerals left to work with for title ideas:

Well they're still short of two of the 4 Sacred Beasts. We only have Rayquaza and Ho-Ou the Phoenix and Dragon to date.

No. Yellow version was indeed marketed with the original Gameboy.

In fact when I got yellow version a ways back I was worried whether or not I could play it with my GBC because it just said "Gameboy" on the box. xD;
