The final novel of the series was just released so depending on how far the first season goes we just might get a feel of how many season this series will get if it gets popular.

EDIT: Actually since Hoshimiya appears in episode 9 then that means its either 3 or 4 novels for the season. We won't get anything more than 3 seasons for this.

SHAFT tend to do second seasons as long as they can make some profit.. something like Natsu no Arashi only received a second season because it was a split cour series. You'll never see a Vampire Bund sequel (I have no idea if it left itself open for one) since they sold rather horribly...
