Unless there is a tie just before the Finals, they can't break that one.
You had to go and jinx it. Incoming Toki vs Yuu vs Kuro championship 3p mahjong.

Really looking forward to Block G. Too bad the matches aren't on the same day.

Picks: Kobato, Akari
Predictions: Kobato, Akari

Saki's arguably the weakest of the remaining Saki charas and others will be looking to at least keep block A up for grabs until the block final. I'd love a Kobato vs Yuuki/Koromo match considering they share many similar traits. Akari's going to have her hands full with Mei, but if she can beat Azunyan handily, she should look forward to an exciting match against Toki for Block B.

I like the franchise to use the power of the the franchise's fanbase to progress before bowing to Koromo in Block A. Tacos Kataoka is dead in the water as far as I'm concerned.

So basically it's like this:

A| Kobato vs Koromo
B| Toki vs Akari
C| fodder vs fodder
D| fodder vs Nagi
E| Sanya vs Yuu
F| Kirame vs Kuro
G| cow fodder vs Ako
H| Shana vs fodder

The winner of Toki vs Akari will win saimoe.

Plus/Minus Hero... nice!

I'm a big Saki fan, so I hope that Saki wins, but even if she doesn't, she's had a good run. If nothing else, the anime that bears her name is clearly doing exceptionally well in J-SaiMoe.

For the other match, I hope Mei pulls it out but I doubt she will.

The starter's gun has fired, hope for some smooth sailing through the treacherous waters that make up the course for Round Three. THE BUSINESS END STARTS NOW dear viewers.

32 characters remain as we enter the Block Semifinals. 10 of them are from Saki and will appear in 7 out of 8 match days. I hope their fanbase enjoyed their one day break since they won't get much rest from here on. As strong as the top Saki characters seem to be, I'm not sure Saki is among them. While she far from weak, she did get a scare from Maho in Round 1. While Kobato didn't seem to do too badly against Mahiru, it seems far less impressive after Poplar and Yamada lost their matches. Sena also ended up with some trouble from Elsie. I think Saki will win but it's not too big a loss if she doesn't. Kobato will still have to deal with Koromo or Yuuki in Round 4. The number one challenger to Saki dominance Akaza Akari takes the field again. She has to deal with a potential sniping attempt from Mei. It doesn't help that the Saki fanbase will be showing up to support Saki today and they might take this as a chance to off Akari. After Chitanda and Shizuno's failures, I don't have as much faith in the Preliminary Group 1 character as I used to. Mei probably can't deal with Akari is a stright up fight. She might get help but I think Akari has this. Everyone has had 10/17 marked on their calendar since the start of the tournament. Let's not mess it up by having one of the two fail to show up.

Votes:
Hasegawa Kobato
Akaza Akari

Predictions:
Miyanaga Saki
Akaza Akari

It's unlikely Kobato can pull two wins against Saki, but I think she can at least win one and reach the block finals. "Ku Ku Ku!"

And so, Round 3 begins. I see the classic, traditional match posters have come out. Nice.

My support today goes to:
Kobato Hasegawa - "My name is Reisys V. Felicity Sumeragi!"
Akari Akaza - Akarin~☆

Round 1: Picks (45-43-8), Predictions (69-27)
Round 2: Picks (12-20), Predictions (22-10)
Round 3: Picks (0-0), Predictions (0-0)

A1
Saki Miyanaga @ Saki: <<宮永咲@咲-Saki- 阿知賀編 episode of side-A>>
Kobato Hasegawa @ Boku Wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai: <<羽瀬川小鳩@僕は友達が少ない>>

Kobato's got a shot.

B2
Akari Akaza @ Yuru Yuri: <<赤座あかり@ゆるゆり>>
Mei Misaki @ Another: <<見崎鳴@Another>>

Battle of characters who don't exist. Mei is no pushover, but I think Akari's supporters will show up today so she should be fine unless they are up against an extremely organized snipe.

Well we have what the pundits dream about (apparently) a close run match to kick off the round, sadly the other is not quite living up to that standard (yet). This whets my appetite for the remaining 14 fixtures and that can only bode well (I hope).

No picks from me as I have a 'kiss of death' when it comes to tipping anything. So I just want a couple of blow-outs mixed in with some good close finishes this round.

Both Kobato and Mei have been receiving 'help', so I don't think Kobato is as close to Saki as she appears. Mei needs all the help she can get.

Being a world-beater has massive drawbacks in terms of moe appeal.
