The "lewd thought detection mask" thing is an anime original concept, and was not in the novels. It was probably just a small comedy device used to help the viewers "settle" back into the show, and is not crucial to anything, But still, it was plenty of laughs for me It certainly matches the novel's image of Saito too.

Saito's future image of himself as "Loyal Dog Saito" was hilarious

As for the serious part, it looks like they're fiddling around with the story again. In the novel, Henrietta was the one who made the decision to retaliate against Albion (partly as revenge for Wales, and for the events in vol.4). In this episode, however, it appears that Henrietta is requesting Louise and Saito's help not to start the war, but to stop it from happening.

Another major difference would be Cromwell, which they got "rid" of right off episode 1. ...Then again, his role wasn't really that great to begin with, so I guess it wouldn't affect the overall plot much. Still, they could've kept him around longer.

The founder's prayer book has been turned into notebook size.

Next week, now that the supposedly-dead Wales is back, it looks like we're set to start vol.4. Which is a good sign, since this will become the primary cause for the great war to follow.

Overall, this episode can probably be said to be a prep episode used to connect the first season with vol.4 of the novel, which will most likely begin starting episode 2. The quality overall is good. Louise and Saito are still as funny as ever.

Siesta's chest is also growning larger every episode...

I also noticed that Saito was in Louise's bed. Given that lights of Saito's new glasses flashed at almost every girl, I'm surprised Saito hasn't done anything to Louise yet (not that I want him to...). Will Saito continuously snub Louise unless dire circumstances?

Overall, an excellent start.

Well, it was off to a bang at least Saito and Louise are happy together as a couple. Though I think Louise became even more violent for her set of punishments Henrietta had a lot screen times which is good IMO. That scene with Saito and her in the cell is really funny. Still, when Louise and Saito hug each other....she's slightly jealous. Could she have feelings for Saito as well? Could be or something like that . It's too bad Siesta didn't have a longer screen time this time 'round but I'm hoping for more on the future eps.

Well, Henrietta's love, Wales died last season. I suppose the sight of 2 love-birds must be something saddening to her considering that had lost the love of her life...

Not to mention the burdens of royalty without someone to really convey the feelings to... Louise and Saito don't really count.

Though with that episode preview with wtf!Wales...

i laughed pretty hard at those haxx glasses XD saito didnt even see it comming and yes it puts a whole new meaning into "leashing your property" but like all healthy teen i cant really blame saito for getting urges when seeing beautiful girls and their bouncy breasts...louise is just mainly over reacting with her tsun tsun mode...but then comes the dere dere mode and oh boy can she melt like toffee in a frying pan

one thing i was shocked about seeing this ep though is that louise actually ordered saito to sleep in her bed...i think their relationship is moving forward smoothly

Those seventh and eighth pictures are just awesome. She completely destroyed him, just like Rie Kugimiya characters seem to do to all men. Once that girls characters are pissed there's nothing in the world that can stop them.

Speaking of Rie Kugimiya, the ending is her going on a bender....AGAIN! Awesome!

Ahh...So it does follow the novel somewhat after all.

Saito's back to his old tricks again. I do find it somewhat down that it will just be another 12 episodes. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Saito and Louise's antics though, and also more of Agnes as well.

The only thing that perhaps wouldn't have me jumping for joy is the feeling that Siesta might get shafted.

I just watched ep1.

The ending song might as well become the "Anthem of Tsudereism", such are the lyrics in that song.

Otherwise, this is indeed more of the same from the 1st season, which is a good thing. Saito seems to be extra=perverted though. Or maybe its just the glasses that alerts everyone to his ecchi thoughts.

It is also nice to see Siesta and Henrietta back. Too bad Kirche did not do much in this episode, beyond providing an excuse for Saito to be blasted by Lousie.

The Louise and Saito SM scene takes the cake for this episode. That one had me laughing for a good minute. XD

Finally found time to see this ep and I must say I'm surpised on how good it turned out to be.

I can say that I'm never tired of tsundere interactions between Louise and Seito. Seito sizing up targets is a win, however Momo and Tabitha is a surpise. Agnes is not what I made out to be, since I thought of her character setting as a bit (a lot) more darker. I wonder given her current personality will the 2nd half of vol 6 on the Academy side is even going to be animated.

Given this is a bridging Ep it is done quite well, and tied up few loseends that season one left open. And we jump right it to action of Last chapter of volume 4 with next Ep, which should be great

That scene where the knight/bodyguard comes with urgent summons was too much. I'm tempted to get that image of Louise as a new avatar. That must have been quite a night. If they don't resolve things properly soon, it's going to become a question of whether Louise gives up and settles for being the dog's favorite ... nevermind, or whether Saito starts to learn to enjoy this treatment. It certainly looks like Louise is enjoying it more. This is the first time I know of where she appeared to have been so fierce that she whipped his AND HER clothes to shreds...

poor Saito, where in first season, he was allowed to look/befriend with any girl except Kirche, but this season it's only his master.
I really wish they could follow the novel more closely this season, there is so much material the show could run 50 more episodes without any fillers.
nevertheless, the show still put a smile on my face, and that's all it matters for this kind of show

Overall i loved ep 1, i thought the end was really funny when saito and louise are in an suggestive position. But man Louise has quite the temper, she beat that Saito up from night to dawn lol
