Love watching grandpa being badass in his prime. So does this mean Rikuo has royal blood in his veins? Well the flashback was nice but i'm glad we're getting back to the present now.

While -hime can be translated as Princess (like what the translators here did... tough it is not really a correct translation and it makes Westerners give the word more meaning than they should), it is also often used as part of a name or addition to the name when a girl is beautiful.

Looking at the fact that her father seems like nothing more than a pitiful, greedy guy rather than some Daimio, I am pretty sure she is actually called Yohime (which translators translate as Princess Yo).

And no, unless it is the Imperial Family we are talking about, Rikuo doesn't have royal blood or anything.

OI, on his "defense" (note: this has become a keyword) Hitotsume just become her guardian. Also, is worth to mention Hitotsume wasn't that overwhelmed by Kyoto youkais like lets say Setsura, Karasu-tengu, etc.

Flashback stories like this are always fun cause you get to compare the past and the present. Super suave Nurarihyon aside, it really amuses me to see how rugged and somewhat badass Hitotsume was compared to his current self.

In other news, the first dvd/bd cover for Nuramakyo has been unveiled:

Can't say I like the way they've done the logo. Looks so half-assed. I actually like season 1's dvd cover layouts more. However, it was about time Rikuo got on a cover with Yuki-Onna!

First two are the OP/ED singles respectively while the third is a drama cd that adapts the light novel(s). I'm really eager to listen to that one but unfortunately my copy won't ship yet.

Pretty good episode, was half-expecting it to be more filler-like, what with the Kiyo cross squad and all, but it looks like we're up for a training arc! Love how combat rules are slowly being implemented...

EDIT: Just saw the omake...Yura is so gullible it makes me wanna take her home

Spoiler for episode 5: Hidemoto finally shows up, I'll admit that I was worried since he wasn't in the last episode at all (he's kinda important) and this episode finished flying through the flashback. Have to admit, I really don't like how they put everyone's name on screen/their attacks on screen, it just seems silly to me and not really necessary (still not liking the OP/ED either, for some reason they both just bother me). Starting a new arc next week which is my favorite and can't wait to see all the new characters! __________________ If it has a plot I have something to say about it! Twitter time!

Unlike previous episodes, the sound-track felt almost non-existent during key scenes and attacks lacked impact during the fight scenes. I agree it all felt too rushed, especially compared to the first 4 episodes. __________________

Nayrael The Faceless One Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Varaždin, Croatia Age: 33	Spoiler for Episode 6: - So Kyokotsu... why so evil and cute? ^_^ - and finally SHE appears (tough still not completely ) - and we are reminded of the Kerria Garden Murder Incident - Grampa remembering of his old says sure made him wish to fight again... so what do you do? Well, attack your grandson of course - Rikuo gets pwned!!1! also, I liked the color palette and the general atmosphere of the scene - Kiyo Cross Squad goes to Kyoto, where they will... do nothing - Kyoto is for sisies so Rikuo goes to Toono instead (ok, he goes there to train so he could increase his chances of survival in Kyoto) - this episode has a lot of Tsurara: that pleases me - Rikuo wakes up and finds out his loving Tsurara was replaced by a monkey and a bunch of other rude Yokai who don't know their place... while he himself is in a bowl to be eaten - poor Rikuo... doesn't even realize that Kyoto is a dangerous place, filled both with Exorcists and Yokai of the Kyoto Clan... who are probably the strongest Ayakashi you can find on the market... and who do not exactly love Nura Clan and Nurarihyon's - Toono Fodder pwns!!1! Rikuo... pwned twice in one ep... oh dear Rikuo, how low have you fallen - well, at least in Toono Rikuo doesn't change into his Day Form, no matter the time - how cute: Rikuo daydreams about Tsurara... which makes the idea of running away even more likable - first Grampa, than Toono Fodder and now... a simple bridge pwns!!1! Rikuo - and we are introduced to Itaku, a Kamaitachi... it is surprising how the same type of Yokai can have so many variations: the Shikoku Yokai that attacked Nurarihyon in S1 was also a Kamaitachi - and Rikuo meets Yokai of his generation in Toono (one of them who is probably Tsurara's cousin)... and none of them calls him Rikuo-sama... Rikuo is not pleased but will swallow such rudeness -_- - Yura is such a naive little girl... only she still trusts Ryuuji XD __________________
