Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez compared his election rival to "far-right" U.S. presidential hopeful Mitt Romney on Saturday, saying both men wanted to subjugate the country under capitalism and crush his socialist "revolution."

Aye, basically they want all the perks of civilization but don't want to pay for any of it and spend a lot of energy leeching the remaining wealth produced by the civilization.

Have they finally stabilized the definition of "billion", since the term (as well as "trillon") have both long and short scale versions.

I'm guessing short scale, because in long scale "A trillion is a million billion" (10 to the 18th power)
While short scale: "A trillion is 1,000 billion." (10 to the 12th power).

I have long given up on understanding the english terms for big numbers above billion.
I know Billion is 1000 Million, because that's a sum which you regulary use in EveOnline.
But other than that... give me 10^x notations.

In German it's simple: Million, Milliarde, Billion, Billiarde, Trillion, Trilliarde and so on.
Alternating between *ion and *iarde for each *1000 step and using latin numbers, quadr, quint, sext, sept, okt...
All things neatly in order like they should be!

I think I'll stop at billion in whatever language. Except Japanese, where I'll give up at ten thousand...

I thought Trillion was the highest point and everything after that was "Bajillion".

Milliarde? Billiarde? Those are completely new to me...

Plan ahead, things scale, a Zentillion is a 1 with 600 zeros.
Now I need to think of a case in which I could use that awesome number... you know to bring up in casual conversation.
"Did you know cats disperse about a zentillion hairs over the course of their lives?"

Maybe you'll be able to use it to talk about public debts...

Dunno, maybe it is dirty money and buying a big company is the best way to clean it up?

Yeah, I was wondering that too. Never thought to see big corporates paying by pure cashes. And this is 15.1 billions to add.
