If they did, I'm sure we would've heard about it by now (unless someone is very good at keeping secrets).
I too wouldn't mind more of this myself; I can never have enough of these sugary-sweet shows.

Well, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Believe me, it will get better. Have been wondering if it would get another season, but apparently the sales make the prospect not very probable....

I've seen the title around, but never really bothered to look up on it. But today, I saw some 10 min. loop of Karen saying "DEHS," and I fell for the motherfuckin trap. I'm so glad I did, though. She's one of the cutest half-n-half characters I've seen.

Well neither of those are announced yet... It is quite popular so it could get both. For s2 though it would depend if there is enough material. Then again the first episode was padded out apparently, and the last was all original?
Karen's chara song does come out in the next 24-48 hours though.

Karen's song, eh? My heart would most likely implode on itself if I attempted to listen to that.
...CANT WAIT edit: Watched the finale. Wow lol. Such a sweet and adorable end. That musical bit at the end was absolutely glorious. All the girls have good singing voiced. I loved how all the students gathered about Shino, who basically looked like Jesus. Last edited by blakstealth; 2014-01-29 at 12:04. |

Welcome. We are borg! In all seriousness, though, would be interested in your overall impressions and evaluation.... What would you grade the series? What did you like and / or dislike?

I watched a fan-made video that had showed off a lot of Karen scenes and immediately felt compelled to start the series. It also helps that it's a Slice of Life comedy. I was always a sucker for characters speaking in languages foreign to their own, so I was surprised of the amount of "Engrish" that was being spoken in the first episode. I mean c'mon, who doesn't like their favorite voice actors speak your own language? It's great. I thought that the characters were pretty likeable. Our two main mains Shino and Alice served as great opposites (Shino luvin them white ppl and Alice with Japan ppls). Ayaya and Yoko were great, too; Aya's tsun tsun tendencies were kinda endearing, and I absolutely loved Yoko's reaction to everything. I get a good laugh when her voices changes while reacting to something ridiculous (I'll never forget when she reacted to Karen kissing Shino in the cheek and reacting to Karen in her chuunibyou swag). Speaking of Karen, who was my motivation to watch this to begin with, she was everything I had thought she'd be plus some more. I just love her to bits from her jacket, her broken Japanese, her humor...the list goes on. There's just something with half-Japanese half-x characters that I just love. Her voice actor did an excellent job, and the same goes with the rest of the cast. Overall, I was expecting cute girls doing cute things in a cute manner, and I got just that. I felt that some of the humor fell flat, but that's normal for these kinds of shows. If I were to rate this using Dango units, I would give it a green and red Dango. |

Now this is good news. Gochuumon, Hanayama and now Kinmosa s2? I am a happy camper to say the least, but also kind of nervous. Season 1 was such a complete package to me - I hope they do the series justice instead of just doing a sloppy add on to milk the series success.... Am not familiar with the source material, though. I wonder if any new characters will appear?
