And i replied, that taking in account all the development Kallen's chara got, it is unlikely she will fall in love again somewhere down the road, because the way it seems, is that she does not need to. She got everything she needs already.
"The search for something more"-concept, does not really apply to her anymore, because her search is over, the moment all her goals were accomplished.

Suzaku x Kallen is meant to be.

(I love my logic. AND NO IT DOES NOT WORK WITH GINO because Kagino shipper killed that for me and i'll find a way to kiss this logic for Kagino.)

Ah lol I hated the Suzaku x Kallen ship in S1 but with darthzaku in R2 it was way more appealing.

Edit : Kallen wasn't captured in the manga, from what I heard.

About the manga. Kallen didn't get captured, Shirley died and it was at the geass cult in the latest one. There should be a post about it in the manga thread.

Yeah, my mistake, she was not captured, it's just Majiko is focusing in C.C and Rolo.

Well, i didn't mean romantically focusing, but it's because it's on the geass cult arc, hehe. Unless it's over right now.

mh, I can agree that making Karen more dubious about Lelouch would have helped also in foreshadowing the ending and BK betrayal, but R2 in general failed big way in bringing on the spotlight the most serious-warfare plot in the first half. You hev to remeber. though, that karen spent a whole year with CC, so she got time to understand things about Zero/Lelouch she would have not been able to discover herself, still she confronted him, and decided to place her beat on him again...
At least, Karen had her moment of 'bitchslapping you back to yourself' in ep.7 , in the middle of the maybe lowest moment of mysery in Lelouch's record, and that adds to her role of 'true honest soul of the rebellion' .
The other characters from the BK fade more or less in the background (much more than in s1) after having been freed and this just subtract substance to their following betrayal of Zero...

sugiyama and minami can basiclly be discribed as "those two guys"
apart from ougi none of them get any real attention

Well, some of the BK did got some screentime. From the first ones, just Kallen, Tamaki(the comical relief) and Ohgi, but then we've got Tohdou, Rakshata, Kaguya, Xing-ke, Diethard...

Okay, if you mix them together, you don't have the screentime of Kallen in the jail, BUT, they did got a little love, hehe.

About the BK, in s1 Tohdoh (the honorable and by-the-book man), Diethard (the smart opportunist), Karen (the passionate young and corageous fighter) and Ohgi ( "I trust zero but..."average man) where used in a very nice way to give us the 'external' POV about Zero, something that was used to counterbalance the internal POV provided by Lelouch, moreover given the fact that not always Lelouch was realizing the full extent of his actions as Zero.
Eventually, the other guys (Tamaki, Minami, Chiba, Asahina...) were used to underline one or another detail in the politicall movements, or some consequences of the action Lelouch was performing.

In R2, this was handled in a much less effective and dull fashion (the only two times in wich I observed something similar was Asahina repeatedly questioning his underlings about the Geass Cult massacre, and the way Tohdoh acted at the UNF inauguration ceremony) and that's another element that make the cohesion of the story drop, moerover in the first half.

Karen's POV too, was altered, because differently from s1, she was now fully aware of Lelouch's identity, so her POV on Zero is no longer external, but semi-internal. She anyway stayed true to her role of 'the one that is fighting the good fight' all along, so yeah, let us be content with what she get..

Ah lol I didn't notice the bananas in the BG >_<
So yeah it makes more sense for it to be a banana, but dunno, I didn't pay much attention to that cause it seemed kinda orange :/

i just watch the dubbed version of ep 18
gino is portreyed as a MUCH bigger dick when he tells her that her wish wont come true
kallen is portreyed as wanting to fight him
and suzaku's clearly not letting him face kallen becouse he doesnt think he could handle her

its just the dub, but since it supports what i have been saying since day one about that ep, i figured i would point it out
