You know, I have always been wondering whether this guy is the mysterious 3rd in Command of Roger's crew since he's one of the few unnamed crew members to have a more notable design traits when compared to the others.

Oh yeah, more vol. 60 SBS stuff: -Seems like Buggy was singing "Joy to the World" during Marineford. -Dadan's full name is Dadan Curly (though we already knew that.....). -LOL, Iva actually charges people to stay in his hair! Looks like the starting price is 5000 berry and he charges extra for ocean views. He even has a suite on the top floor and his head is apparently roomy enough to accommodate 30 or more people(!).-Apparently, the reason why Luffy bled from Porschemy's spiked gloves and he didn't from Alvida's club is because the angle of the spikes. The same deal applies to the Awakened Mino Zoan from ID, as well. -Marco's a banana-head while Kidd is a chrysanthemum-head. -Birthdays! Quote:

I love a lot of these ideas. Since the One Piece universe is so immense I'd like to see some of these ideas come back in the form of other characters.~

^Yeah, I'm actually pretty disappointed that feline Margaret didn't make the cut. Her being a Zoan might have actually raised her chances of joining the crew (especially since it's now implied that 10 might not be the limit, after all....). And as far as proto-Catarina goes, I honestly prefer her final design over the generic pretty female samurai, anyway. I still would have loved for Oda to use that split-personality priest idea for Moria, too (oh well, maybe he can use that idea for a future villain).....
Anyways, looking back at all of that other info, some pieces of it I find more interesting than others, like Tom originally being human, and marine captain T-Bone's original concept being the polar opposite of what he eventually became. I also find it highly amusing that Oda abandoned the plan to fuse Sanji's shadow with one of those badass-looking armored general zombies from TB in favor of the that freaky penguin/dog hybrid. Poor Sanji just never gets a break, does he? Oh, and another thing:  This early Kuma is also pretty badass. Again, I'm kinda wondering if Oda would use theses sketches as a basis for these characters' younger appearances.....? |

^Actually, he did. He clearly mentioned last year that the wheel in Shiki's head was originally meant for Kuma. I believe he mentions it in either vol. 0 or the movie 10 artbook.....
Oh, and about that early CP9 sketch, it turns out that Jyabura and Kumadori's early names are listed there, as well (Shakim and Apollo, respectively). As far as the early Blackbeard sketches are concerned, I'm actually hoping that the old dude in the golf cap appears in the series at some point, even if he doesn't end up joining Teach's crew. A pirate golfer would actually be pretty awesome, IMO. Teach himself has a slight resemblence to Brownbeard from those early sketches (in fact, that's probably what inspired Brownbeard's design in the first place). And.... is anyone else considering the possibility that the parrot may end up being Lafitte?

Volume 61 has finally been leaked, and while we haven't learned all of its juicy contents yet, there's definitely a rather scrumptious appetizer available: POST-SKIP STRAW-HAT SKETCHES! Spoiler:
Badass cowboy Usopp? Robin with shorter hair (and bigger boobs)?? Franky with swirly hair??? Sanji looking like a Reborn character (eeew)? Holy crap! Rather a shame to see that all these interesting designs were scrapped (but maybe some of them will pop up in the series at a later time. Who knows)....... Pretty much every one of the time-skip Nami concepts has longer hair. Guess that was something Oda was 100% dead-set on doing. =p
I actually kind of imagined in exchange Robin would've gave herself a short clean-cut, looks like he considered that, but I was surprised he decided not to. Too bad he didn't use that black jacket for Luffy. . D=
