If you'll notice, the cowlick is common to all Nyarlathotepians while in human form. Nyaro has it, and Nyarue from Remember my Love(craft-sensei) has it too.

yay! I'm catching up with the anime

I won't comment anything about Nyaruko's true form because I know this anime will use it for something later

at first, I'm curious about how can Mahiro still doesn't show any interest toward Nyaruko...
my opinion : is he gay??? or maybe just a tsundere???
then Hasuta showed up and I just lol'd about their 'first kiss' ... xD

this anime really got a complicated relationship and funny one... lol

now I really want to know Mahiro's mother true identity and true job (including how she inherit her 'fork skill' to Mahiro)

If they show Nyaruko's true form in the last episodes of the show, expect some Okadaish melodrama and constant crying, even though the Kamen Rider references are still retained.

I still maintain that the aliens are similar to Saiyans in that they are usually humanoids until they power up.

In the 5th episode, when Nyaruko and Mahiro discussed how Yasaka (Mahiro's mom) could be the key to ruling the space, they thought of sononium. I was just thinking that it can't be because of that. She needs to come in contact with Mahiro to replenish it, so wouldn't they need Mahiro too then?

Probably is. Aliens seem to value human culture (Anime, manga, and games in particular), so what reason would they have to grab her? Cause she's a game expert. I would've thought otherwise, but considering they were willing to send agents to die to get someone for a space Yaoi, this would make sense.

In regards to Nyaruko's power to shapeshift, there's an omitted part from the novel in transistion to anime in which Nyaruko settles Mahiro's doubt about her ability by transforming herself into a cute 2D anime character.

Little wonder why Xebec didn't animate this. But think of the laurels if they had manage to pull this stunt off convincingly.

Maybe that could be the case for all of those aliens? I wonder though, if they are just following the Japanese culture of "cute & cuddly" when thinking of their transformation.

Though it probably explains why Hastur transformed into a loli in order to be cuter than Nyaruko.

I think he was like that even when he was younger. Nyarko and Kuuko instantly recognized him when they first saw him.
