As Irene said, if it was Teresa pre-Clare in the same situation, Priscilla and the hunter team would've been killed before it even got that far.

When the team went against Teresa, I think she was clearly holding herself.

Irene would've probably died in the inn room, when she charged against Teresa for the first time.

Edit: I meant it as if Teresa has never met Clare.

Yes, I'm only refering to the anime, and to what Rubel "said" at the mentionned time, I'm not saying anything about whether Priscilla actually is the strongest or not (which has not been stated yet in the anime -__-; ) But I do think it's very possible, too

Kathia awakened while Dauf was torturing Jean, not her. She bore her own pain but was not willing to see her comrade further hurt. Without knowing past relationship b/w Jean and Kathia, that could be why Jean was upset when Kathia awakened and then was killed in her awakened form.
