Here's the list of shows where Souchiro Hoshi and Houko Kuwashima characters have had a strong relationship of sorts.

Infinite Ryvuis = Yuuki Aiba and Aoi Housen
Argento Soma = Takuto Kaneshiro/Ryu Soma and Harriet "Hattie" Bartholomew
Gundam SEED = Kira Yamato and Fllay Allstar
Gun X Sword = Michael Garret and Wendy Garret

Frontier isn't going to be another one of those.. unless Brera and Nanase hit it off at the Ranka's Stalker Fanclub meeting. I can see him taking out Kuwashima's other character in combat though.
