It's the perfect dropping point of an episode, right after the dungeon arc.

The end of this episode kinda leaves everyone hanging. Okay, Aladdin is in some unknown place. Alibaba looks sad in the previews and they'll probably try to find each other. It's all really vague. I think the difference between the end of volume 2 and the end of this episode is that the end of volume 2 gives direction to the plot that isn't there right now. |

that was one funny moment in the manga that indicating how low Alibaba's potential as a King at that point yet it feels like just a random sigh from some random blue djinn

Lots of interesting revelations in this episodes. Magi are the ones who choose the king, and there are apparently several of them around. They will obviously battle at some point. Alibaba seems to have a royal background, and he has been chosen by Aladdin to be his king. I'm really liking Alibaba so far. He turned out to be more badass than I thought, although he doesn't have the stature of a king yet.
I thought for sure he wouldn't be able to bring back the treasure either. Not only because that often happens in that kind of story, but also because he needs a motivation to continue his adventure.

Those two never seem to get rid of that annoying sharif.
That stuck up guy is totally an annoying coward pretending to be strong. Morgiana is also a weird one. Just can't figure her out. That sharif is delusional is he thinks Aladdin will ever choose him. So they beat the dungeon. Ammon sure said some interesting things.

Amon is blue!? Wtf, I always thought he'd be orange/red-ish...
Nice episode, so that's how you do a dungeon run in 40 minutes! Alibaba sure was lucky that there were people around when he came out with the treasure, you never know who just might try to steal the glory and treasure. |

Djinn are traditionally blue to begin with.
I'm surprised no one has pointed this out yet, but Alibaba's swordplay makes it clear. As I said last week: He is definitely nobility, possibly royalty. And Amon's power went to his dagger. So that's how he gained flame powers. |

It certainly isn't any Arabic I'm familiar with. I think it's an imitation: Random scribling made to look like arabic. It certainly looks real enough to anyone who can't read Arabic since I actually had to look closer to tell, so I was somewhat impressed they put that much thought into it.

Well a busy first three episodes for sure. Have to say when Morgiana blew Aladdin away with that first kick I was more focused on that pose of hers rather than being worried about Aladdin .
Still some surprises in how this all ended. I mean not often that you find all this treasure and actually get a chance to take a ton of it before the dungeon collapses . Good for Alibaba.

Just watched the 3rd episode. It was fairly good, but I can see far and wide that they will butcher up the story a bit to fit 52, or maybe even 26 episodes. But aside from that, they really made a decent animation on the characters, especially Morgiana when she fights.

I agree about the mistreatment, but I actually like the realism of her slave attitude. In fact, I like just about everything about the character, so far. Her darkness, the sense that she is inwardly struggling to understand things and be free but reacts naturally as a slave -- and those massive legs.

Ali Baba - Brains Aladdin - Magic Morgianna - Might but instead he's surprisingly capable. I don't get the sense that he'd hold up anywhere near as well in a serious fight as the other two versus an obvious chump like the Sharif, but I could see him doing some mid tiers fights and making for some interesting swordplay action scenes. |
