The show is clearly portraying Blackforest as a team that is less diciplined or skilled than we expected them to be.
Yes, they were champions for a long time. But the Nishizumi Style had the glaring issue of focusing on the hardware rather than the crew. Maho is trained, no doubt tutored by her mum at home. But it seems the rest of her crew did not have the same level of proficiency. I dare say the argument is that currently the Orrai team have better-trained crew. IF they win, it would be because BlackForest dropped the ball and isn't as elite as their expensive tanks suggested.

These people are fast:
(Music and sound effects replacement using Space Battleship Yamato 2199.) http://nicoviewer.net/sm20376431 And a shorter one for the Maus that used exactly the music that I though when I saw it come out. And there is already a Hitler rant for episode 11 and the Maus. http://nicoviewer.net/sm20373064

ahaha just makes me laugh how people tend to make a mountain out of a mole hill. mah i'll just blame the Director & Animators for trying to make that Miho tank jumping scene dramatic.
Case in Point. Oarai team formation entering the river Just in the river Mid river that's hardly 5 meters distance between tanks (scale it with the tanks themselves). Hardly world record distances, any normal teenager could jump those. if you look at that picture ( the back ground in particular, bushes & clouds you'll see it was stretched for effect) === on a different note: really funny how Wiki traffic suddenly increased for MAUS

I like how the tank at the 9 minute mark clearly had one of its wheels changed as it was a different colour. Attention to detail that the long break can afford.
Spoiler for large pic:

hey that's a thought , how many spares do they carry anyway. I don't quite remember the rules would that tank be considered out if it's unable to do more fixes (anyone?) or still in the game but unable to move..
If it would be out then hetzer team could just continue doing the same thing until they run out of spares. (or would it be easier to just shoot the back )

^ except that it already worked twice, in this episode alone nyahaha.
but seriously even IRL, there are people who are so good in tactics and so imaginative that they continuously surprise their enemies. I know first hand, as a competitive athlete I had opponents who are just so hard to peg.

Joking aside, that monster would need a crew of 100, which just isn't practical for any highschool without forced conscription of people who don't want to be there. The skill of the crew would drop.
