Hello everybody.

I seldom post here, but have a sudden need of a translation of some kanji (I think) from an image I'm using in a photoshop class. I'll note that I've paid for and am using this image according to the licensing on the stockxpert site, so there's nothing shady going on.

The image is here. I'm using a much larger version and depending on the translation, I may or may not remove it from the image.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help with this.

I have difficulty in reading the first subsentence (Da...ist). Does it mean "die Kunst ist Ausdruck der Zeit, und sie ist auch geistige Gestaltung der Zeit"?

The error message is neither Japanese or Chinese. I think it is a Shift_JIS string decoded (wrongly) as UTF-16. Probably you used a software that runs only on Japanese Windows.

The problem is, it is the original list. I grabbed it out of my old case. Probobly damaged.

The おく suggests perfection.
Maybe you are confused by the sequence 伝えておこう because it implies both future and perfect tense. The nuance is, "I will finish your duty (= to tell her something)".

Question Libri, i was reading this and was thinking おこう to being the volitional form of te+oku (to do something in preperation for the future)
Depends on the nuance of the sentence naturally, but looking at the grammar structure:

In general, the volitional form expresses intention, such as in these cases:
* In volitional ("let's" or "I shall") statements: 勉強しよう benkyō shiyō: "Let's study" or "I shall study".
* To ask volitional ("shall we") questions: 行こうか ikō ka: "Shall (we) go?"
* To express what one is thinking of doing, via 思う omou: 買おうと思う kaō to omou: "(I) am thinking of buying (it)".
* In the form しようとする shiyō to suru: be about to or be trying to. 犬が死のうとしている Inu ga shinō to shite iru: "The dog is dying."

I can't remember from class, nor can see this grammar form giving the nuance of "I will do something", this usually feels like a suggestion rather than a decisive action.
You got any other sentence examples or another link for me about expressing decisive actions in Japanese?

<Mizen + u/you> suggests the speaker's will. So it can be employed in such situations as invitation, proposal or expectation.

Like German, you can express something in future which has little to do with your own desire in present tense in Japanese.

その仕事は私が引き受ける。I shall undertake the duty.

If you say:

その仕事は私が引き受けよう。I will undertake the duty.

It gives audience an impression that you decided to do so. It can be typically seen in the cases of oath and planning:

この子を立派に育てよう（と誓った）。
もう年だから、体を大切にしよう（と思った）。
今年の冬は、沖縄で過ごそう（と決めた）。

Can someone translate this for me? Someone left it on my comments on youtube and I can't understand all of it:

とても心の奥にしみこむ音ですばらしいです！
わたしにとって一番です。
だいすきな曲をこんなにすてきに演奏してくださり
ありがとうございます。

I'd like to hopefully give them a response as well (once I learn what it says).
