for shippers and in-universe...
they already rivals back in Tokiwadai and now a new variable (Touma) is thrown into the equation further deepening of sort their rivalry...

im still trying to figure out on how mikotoxmisaki became so popular. im not a shipping fan that much but it does seem to be catching up to the popularity of toumaxmisaka fanbase pretty fast(or atleast in my speculations) i really wish shipping wars just stop especially with all this bashing and hate on another character. plus while i don't care who people ship with "mikoto or touma", they should really get over their fantasies about mikotoxwhoever yuri girl fans like to ship with since mikoto is not a lesbian and the fact that touma doesn't view mikoto as a lover either(seeing as how he kinda view her as a kid).

Touma doesn't really pay much attention to any girl if they don't have boobs. Look at his reaction towards Oriana Thomson, Kaori, Orsola, and Itsuwa. All of which have boobage, and that's not excluding Misaki who Touma took a glance at despite knowing she was in the same grade as Mikoto.

No way around it, if you aint got boobs then your bound to be treated with less interest by Touma.

I don't see the clear advantage here.

Yes there's the initial attraction of boobs, but that's superficial at best.

This world is superficial first and then try the the other aspects.

For example Index doesn't has big boobs but he still thinks she is a pretty girl.

I'd call Touma's behavior around her cautious rather than absolute terror. If he was that afraid of her, having a casual conversation with her would be a task in itself to achieve.

I'd say he just doesn't want to have an unfortunate event take place that ends up leading to a misunderstanding or getting his ass kicked by a Saint. Like what happened during the Angle Fall indecent in the LN.

But that's just my opinion so...
