A very very poor game, but oddly very entertaining. It's more about getting a new Gundam than actually playing with it. |

After spending 250+ hours on SD Gundam G-Generation Wars, I think Bandai should release this game (and SD Gundam G-Spirit for UC fanboys/girls) someday. It is really annoying to see Bandai only release some bad(in my opinion) Gundam games to Western market like Battle Assault and Dynasty Warriors Gundam. No offense to all fans to these games but they are too 'untrue' to entire Gundam multiverse. Mobile Suits should not brawl each other and they should not defeat hundreds of other Mobile Suits by itself.
Bandai may told us some of the Gundam series are never licensed in North America(USA and Canada) but they did release Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 which featured Turn A Gundam, one of the titles never released in NA, anyway. |

I knew if these games ever able to make their way outside Japan, they tend to sell poorly even though critics love them. I'm not joking on this one. In 2006, Atlus did bring Super Robot Wars Original Generation 1 & 2 for GBA and guess what, they sold poorly despite most critics liked them.
Casual Western gamers really hate to play any turn-based strategy games unless they had "Final Fantasy Tactics" and "Disgaea" in their names. One of few Japanese games that Western gamers love is Street Fighters. They loved SF to death and they even 'attacked' Capcom for making EX series, its 3D spin-offs. They claimed SF should be in 2D not 3D. While not perfect, I think SD Gundam G-Generation Wars is one the best games that had "Gundam" name in it. However I also agree with you that this game will never sell well in Western market since most of its fans are obviously fans of anime like us. Casual gamers usually just ignored it. |
