They haven't even announced a date for the Japanese release of the soundtrack, so be a bit patient...

Phantom Memory Kurau from Bones had plenty of it.

It does feel in similar territory to Kurau in more ways than just the flying bits. Unless that's just me? Anyway I enjoyed it a lot. It was slick and accomplished and feels effortlessly cool, if unspectacular. Maybe it's the kind of show I'd prefer to marathon, as one episode didn't really satisfy my interest - it seemed to zip by leaving me wanting more and few questions got answered. I guess that's the mark of good entertainment.

I like Hei, in both flavours, his nerdy stargazing alter ego is a bit of a surprise. Rin is enigmatic, need more of her I think. Mao is the best cat since...that talking one in the Mars Daybreak. Kirihara is hotness (I have a thing for prim onee-san types it seems). I'm looking forward to seeing Amber, I guess that's her lips in the OP? Speaking of which, the OP is spot on, does the job for me more so than I'd thought and Kanno's music is both cool and esoteric - a joy as always. Will get that soundtrack without fail. I have most of hers. The wonderfully varied and mystical Earth Girl Arjuna's being my favourite.

From the 14 second promo nothing much can be said but I must say the visuals in that promo look really awesome. Darker than Black with a title so intriguing need I say more on reasons to watch the show : D . I might be wrong but I think number of episodes is 13 . The Op and Ed are

Opening Theme : HOWLING by Abingdon boys School

Ending Theme : Tsukiakari by Rie fu

No, the number of eps is 2 seasons (anywhere from 24-26 eps). Code Geass's second season is having a gap of 2 seasons from the first so DtB is going to be that long too. I keep seeing 2 seasons in a lot of places too... unless I'm highly mistaken.

Yeah, luckily it seems most studios went back to the sane tradition of releasing 24-26 episode series instead of the dreaded 13 episode series that were popping up like hell in the last few seasons.

This is neither the time nor the place to bring something like this up. I don't think people want a flame war over the quality of this said groups subbing style.

So why do people fight, anyway?
Perhaps the meaning of existence lies within their will to fight.
People feel a sense of accomplishment through battle.
And it’s also a fact that the ones actually fighting are never perceived as being tainted.

Yeah clamp is very well known to do that not for Code Geass alone but XXHOLiC Tsubasa Chronicle and so on . As you said Darker than Black may follow the same trend release 13 ep in 1st season than the 13 more in season 2 . According to ANN there are 13 for this season

Spoiler for Episode titles :

OK, first thing.

Spoiler for rant:

There is no official statement, afaik, that says it's 13 or 26 episodes. However, considering Code Geass part 2 is starting only in Fall (and not Summer), and there has been no word of a Summer show for this timeslot...
Correct me if I'm wrong but normally for a show in this timeslot/channel they'd announce a show at least one season ahead, and if DtB is only 13 episodes and CG in Fall, there should be another show in Summer - and there's been no word of such a thing at all, hence I conclude it's 2 seasons long.

Are you sure? Didn't they state that the last 2 episodes from season 1 would air in Summer?

Last two episodes != next season.

Even that itself was unscheduled; by the time they had decided to put in those recap eps that were purportedly for the benefit of viewers who had requested them, I figure they had already slated DtB to start at that certain time and could not change it.

So I wouldn't be surprised if the two episodes got aired at some separate time or something-or-the-other. I just hope they don't eat into DtB's time.
