Arrrge, I don't want to wait till April, I want it NOW. Don't even think about telling me the price because I don't want to know and I will be buying it anyway. Would it also be too much to ask for them to start translating all the light novels like they did for full metal panic, and while they're at it making an English text version of the DS game because that game is so beautiful. Oh and I want it now, but it would probably be faster if I just learned Japanese myself. If you need me I'll be curled up in the fetal position in the corner crying (Horo withdrawal).

Received my Kotobukiya Horo the other day. She's much prettier than the Cospa and TAKI Horo's. I should have just purchased her from the start and ignored the others. But it's nice having the whole set.

You'll have to forgive the quality of the picture.

I just thought of something... When or IF they finally get around to getting the English subbed/dubbed anime, will they use the name... HOLO in the subs and dub!? Thinking about it makes me cry.

I love mah Horo, not Holo.

Hmm, hadn't thought of that. Good thing I won't have to think about it, thanks to subs and Judge. Although it might be aggravating when dealing with fans of the dub.

Does anyone know when the new PVC Horo will be available for pre-order? I keep looking around but I've yet to see any information, other than I think it'll be released in April. I hope they don't mean released for pre-order in April.

Oh, I'll still have fansubs and whatever Judge translates, but I'm still going to buy from the official series just to support it. It wouldn't bug me if they said Holo in dubs because I wouldn't watch the dubs. I would only care if they said it in the subs. Besides, getting past the issue of being annoyed, saying 'Holo' instead of Horo is a deadly sin in the religion of Horoism you know.

yeah, but I can definitely see some very stupid arguments at anime cons at some point if the dubs screw it up.

An official guide book was released.

http://bookweb.kinokuniya.co.jp/htm/4048674838.html

The content is as follows.

1.Story
Explanation of novel
2.World
Background of novel and explanation of setting
3.Mediamix
Explanation of Anime, Game, Comics and Goods
4.Special!
Illustration of setting, interview to creator, and the short story "Wolf and a star-colored howl"
5.Column
*The collection of noted words
*How to make the honey pickled peaches
*Various bread
*Gold & Spices: The Rise of Commerce in the Middle Ages

I felt the following points interesting.

1.In the initial design of Horo, sideburns were short. An impression is considerably different.
In Deanna's initial design, her breast had been greatly exposed.

My favorite character Aries

Spoiler for the story:

For details, please buy it and watch it.

Blah, just spent $180 on Horo stuff. Finally got around to getting the last two Limited Edition DVDs, the guidebook, the calendar, and the Dengeki Bunko Magazine #5.

Still need to pay for all my doujinshi and the DS game and other Horo junk I bought off Yahoo Auctions to be shipped from Japan to my house, as it's all sitting in a warehouse somewhere gathering dust. That'll probably cost me a pretty penny, too.

I can't wait for that to be scanned. While it's not the prefered method for sure, I can't justify money on books I can't read.

You can still look at the images. Looking at a scanned version of the book doesn't magically make it readable. Buy it.

It's not that a scanned version is magically readable, it's that I can't justify money on a book I can't read. I don't have an unlimited budget for anime merchandise, I've got to be picky at what I purchase. I'd rather purchase the series, than an book I can't read, so I'll hold out cash for that instead.

Understood, though the book is only $15 and the DVDs are $25/30 to $45/50 each.

Shipping is what ruins that happy price quote I just gave you, though. ;_;

Well, that's what I always tell people anyway -- if you can't afford everything, at least afford *something* to support the people who entertain you. And remember them later when you *can* afford it.

returning to the topic of Horo/Holo.. although we all know that Horo is the correct version ^_^
For example Kadokawa pics has a different meaning so far..
http://www.kadokawapicturesusa.com/2...spice_wolf.php
So it's Holo for them.. We are also forgetting 1 character that it apperas has the same problem.
The funny thing is that Nora suffers the same fate.. Nola

so It's Holo and Nola.. Now that I think about it.. it makes me laugh for some reason..
I imagined either 5-6 years old saying the names, or rather people without front teeth..

khm sorry for that.. well.. let's hope they change their view on this before further releases.

I can live with Nola, but Holo just sounds strange enough by itself.

"Kraft" Lawrence.

Sorry, I couldn't help but burst out laughing when I saw that. Hope we don't face too long a wait for the DVDs regardless.
