If you piece together the clues it seems fairly obvious:

Dekomori in this episode said she got this (massively chuuni) book two years ago from the "magician" named Mori Summer (as pointed out Mori/forest=森　Summer/natsu= 夏 hence combine the two kanji you get 森夏 = Shinka).

And from the chuuni character description above taken from the official site Shinka is "fighting Rikka's servant (ie Dekomori)" and "looking for the past legacy" so if Mori Summer = Shinka then this implies she's going to try to get her book back from Dekomori.

From episode 2 Shinka also said she's just pretending she is dependable and all that etc so the obvious conclusion is that Shinka is like Yuuta who wants to bury her chuuni past and hide the fact that she used be a chuunibou and begin to live a new normal life when entering high school, and because that book is the legacy of her chuunibou she can't let someone know how bad she was and wants to take it back, thus the way to do it is to join the club so she has more chances to get close to Dekomori.

You're probably right. That was my guess way back as well, though that was just a wide (and maybe lucky) guess. The book is on the internet, though, so I don't think it's that simple. In anycase, that comment of mine was more about I disagree that Shibutani join the club to get close to Yuuta since I think she has other intention in mind.

The first time that we heard, yes, but he says at the beginning of the episode that it's been a month since school started, and thus some time has passed since the previous episode. I assume he's been calling her "Rikka" for a while at this point.

I think Dekomori meant she met Mori Summer on the internet, not that the book itself is actually on the internet.

In addition to what you speculated, remember that Shinka also said that she and Yuuta are alike, and the chuuni description also says she opposed the Devil Eye i.e. Rikka which could mean that she's trying to persuade Yuuta, as ex-chuunibyou like her, should distance himself from Rikka. I personally hope I'm wrong about this since it would make Shinka a bitch in sheep's clothing.

Absolutely hilarious episode. It's been a while since I cracked up as hard as I did for the Mjollnir Tornaaaaa#$@#$@#. I'm interested to see if senpai actually comes up with a 'character' to play.
I love the hints at Shinka's growing feelings for Yuuta. Don't know whether she has any reasons to join aside from her crush, but might be interesting to see. In any rate, how long will it be before people start to recognize the Orienatl Magic Afternoon Napping Society of Summer as the Togashi Harem. I just hope Makoto and the other guys don't decide to join the club in hopes of stealing Yuuta's thunder or at least taking the scraps.

Infamous? They don't like it? I mean a lot of famous artist/studios do this.

Makoto Shinkai does this approach in almost all of his works.

@Malkuth: KyoAni are pretty good with HDR+Bloom, and the funny thing that I've read somewhere about the PShoping is that they actually do field cartography instead of Google Street View magic. (if only IRL can look half that good)

The funny thing I find with Kyoani is that they really do enjoy teasing the audience with their fluidity in combat animation, yet they firmly denounce any suggestion of doing more FMP, citing a lack of ability to do so. O well...

1. My god, how fast can these girls move? First we have Kumin and her teleporting desk, and then Rikka somehow manages to track Yuuta, procure a cheerleader's uniform, and change into it at a speed that'd make Clark Kent proud.

2. You'd think if Yuuta didn't want to be woken up all the time, he'd lock his windows or something. One might almost think he enjoys waking up to being straddled by girls.

3. Wait, so she found the book on the internet? Like on ebay or something? That kinda makes sense if it used to be Shinka's, and she sold it to hide the evidence only for it to resurface like that. Would explain why she looked so serious when she was spying on them.

I'm getting the feeling Yuuta is really a jerk. Not only does he take the liberty to chop Rikka (and other forms of abuse stemming from his over-reactions), he waited til the end of the evening to drop the "no" bomb. He could have at least added his name for the sake of making up the requisite number of people to form the club. Now he'll probably join the club, since he has the hots for Shinka. That's just annoying, seeing as how Rikka asked him for help.

I would have thought Yuuta would be more sympathetic to Rikka's chunibyou, since he had been there before. I just can't understand why Rikka keeps sticking to him. Yes, she thought his chunibyou state was cool, but is there more she sees in him?

next day now club is official cause shinka join in the rikka's club.
