I really hope that no game no life getting really popular will get the author's other light novel, clockwork planet, more attention and someone will translate more of it.

Well, maybe. Depends on the license agreement. If Yen Press paid Media Factory (ie: Kadokawa) a flat rate for the license, then you buying more novels won't actually put any more money in MF's pockets. For that to happen, MF would have to be paid more based upon either how many novels Yen sells or whether Yen options any future novels. And then Kamiya would have to get paid additionally by MF a percentage of any foreign language licensing, which isn't a guaranteed thing. Royalty laws in Japan may not be as creator-friendly as they are in the US.

Does anyone know about the quality of the "official" translations?

I'd generally have no qualms paying my share for proper ebooks, but I'm a bit worried. Some "official" translations have been very painful.

The only Yen Press products I've read were the first few Haruhi novels, and those were quite well done. Fairly well received by the fandom as well, and that's no mean feat. Don't know if the same translation team is going to be handling NGNL, but it at least gives me enough trust in YP to buy the first novel and see for myself, rather than waiting to rely on the online opinion of someone whose only interaction with the official translation may be that it caused them to get miffed that they can't read it for free on BT anymore...

...Or who might be a YP employee, for that matter...

Now that I've got a steady income again, it might be time to buy the rest of those Haruhi novels...

From YP read Haruhi, Index, Accel World & DanMachi: they're quite good. I had no real issues that stood out from the books and yeah there's that flavor text, but you get use to it with professional translations. Nothing offensive.

uhm if sora and shiro beat tet second time around with the help of sixteen exceed do you think those sixteen exceed will fight them to test their streght against both of them "sora and shiro?"

do you think they can beat One true God/Goddess Sora and Shiro against all sixteen exceed ^^?

No, I don't think they are dumb enough to fight against a duo who beat Tet, but if Sora and Shiro discard the Ten Pledges, then probably...

I doubt they would. When they go at Tet later they are suppose to come unified as one. I don't they would agree to follow Blank only to want to stab them in the back later.

Sora and Shiro have to beat all the other Exceed before they can take on Tet, and there is no way they would settle for anything less than a complete victory.

If they can't make everyone else get along with them, then it's not a complete victory.

Vol 7 largely done, only minor fine-tuning left according to Kamiya.

He also says that he expects people to treat this as an April Fool's trick but from the tone, I believe this is a legit update
