Just watched ep.1. It's not Bee Train's usual style at all. The graphics are not as good, the music is different. It feels more like Full Metal Achemist than Noir. So I'm not sure, the story is kinda weak, and the monsters looks pretty bad.

Lol, okay that show was a mind trip.
I started off thinking this would be a mature adult show, then it looked like i was wrong. Looking at the character design etc, it seem to be clearly a show for little kids. Then, looking at all the blood and violence, I was thinking that there is no way this is a kids show.... So it the extreme violence of something like speed grapher, combined with the plot sophistication of spider riders. Yay. |

I just finished watching the sub and must admit: That was pretty damn awesome!
It was stupid alright, but had me grinning I really liked the character design choices and the kickass attitude of the main character. Let's see how they continue the madness |

I wonder why the fansub group Ayako had no better idea than to release this in 1024x576 format, which runs pretty much messed up on my PC. I knew this was going to happen, but I downloaded it to see if it could be watchable anyways. But no, it runs too unsynchronized.
Please, if anyone from Ayako is reading this, would you care to release a lower resolution file? Thanks in advance.

Spoiler for Episode 1 - discussion of premise, character judgments:
@ WanderingKnight: If I wasn't home for spring break using a really good computer I'd be having the same problem with you, so allow me to second that. Sometimes higher video quality is just too much, unfortunately. x.x

Well, I could finally play it decently after a couple of good advices.
The show has WTF written all over it. It uses a childish plot and childish imagery and fills it with non-childish violence and gore. It's only good for a couple of laughs and enjoying a bit the action scenes, nothing more. The shame is that the princess in murdering mode doesn't look at all like the promotional image they used

I read a few chapters of the manga a while back... it was high energy action silliness. Seems they added some drama and toned down the humor in the anime, which I guess is okay, but not really what I was expecting. I enjoyed it at least, if only because I'm anticipating an interesting next episode. (hoping for some comic abuse of her newfound power as princess)

I showed the ayako fansubbed version to some people and they are hooked. The high grade WTF this show exudes apparently exceeds any misgivings about the plot or art. So it looks like I'll be following this. |

yeah, about ayako's hd release... it's weird because i watched all of pumpkkin scissors and some of ergo proxy that way. plus 5cm and the place promised.... and now the romeo x juliet hd raw that came out. all of those worked fine.
but the hd releases that came out early on of le chevalier d'eon ran all choppy on mine. and now the same with the ayako release of murder princess. i went and checked the others i listed and there was still no problem, so i hadn't changed anything. i don't get it. oh well, ayako released an avi. |

I actually enjoyed it a lot too, though it slipped under my radar until the sub came out.
Kinda low quality for an OVA, but I can't complain that much because I did enjoy it overall. Too bad it's a month before the next one. Have some cappage |

Very strange I have to say, I came in expecting it to be a really serious show. Which is somewhat was for a while there with the King dying, knights dying, just a lot of dying. Then wham they get a body switch on you, go back and rescue the kingdom all in one episode. I was thinking this was going to be something like the princess would run into these guys gain confidence and lead a violent army to retake the kingdom....nope.
Definately interesting though, should be fun to see what they do with this. Maybe we'll get our bounty hunter turned princess conquering some countries. But I'll just wait and see. |

I did not realise there was an anime version of this out so soon, since I only bought the manga yesterday.
It was a good show, although I am leaning more towards the manga mainly because it was more funny. At this point in time the first episode of the OVA is about half away into the first volume of the Manga. The english version of the manga is realeased by Broccolibooks this week. http://www.broccolibooks.com/books/m...er_volume1.htm |
