Tsubaki just became my favorite weapon in anime.... whirling steel and cuddly companion all-in-one.

The thing that saves Black Star from my wrath of "o noes, not another n----" is the hilarity of projecting an incarnation of Wiley Coyote.

The unexpected surprise of their opponent at the end ----> priceless.

This episode was more lulz than anything else for me. I greatly enjoyed it and I generally have disliked most if not all prolouges I have seen. If these are the prolouges I shudder to think what the actual show will be like.

I think Black Star is a neat subversion of the standard shonen hero.

Rather than wanting to be the best, he knows he's the best. Also rather than try his best he tends to only use a fraction of his talents(possibly because most of the time he doesn't care about the mission, paying more attention to his reputation)

Spoiler for BlackStar in serious mode:

You guys ever notice on scene 16:42 BlackStar's lines were very Kamina and the BG sound from that scene onwards kinda have the same beat as TTGL's BG sound for the fight scenes too. Dunno, maybe this is just me xD

Neways, awesome series, will definitely stick to this one. Hope the fight scenes throughout the series will always be as awesome as the first 2 episodes, or prologues rather xD

Nothing "happened to them" (they're even in this episode). They're just introducing each set of characters. One more set in ep 3 and we're ready to roll for many, many episodes.

After seeing the preview for episode 4 I am starting to hate this anime more and more because I still have 6 anime series to watch.
