Ok, Ririn's character was 'redefined' ? What the heck was that all about 'not being lovers' etc? Its not as if she was wanting to be with Ichigo from the start!

Anyway, I think it is likely that Ichigo will come to rescue Rukia. Did he and Uryuu go after Ririn or some other direction? Maybe the Bount Arc will finish in about 10 episodes or so.

Also I wonder how Ichinose could enter and leave SS freely. Don't you need a butterfly or something? The other method being the gate (similar to what Urahara did in the beginning of SS arc.) Even if we assume he had a butterfly, he'd still need to go inside the Seireitei (sp?) to manipulate Mayuri's records. Maybe I'm missing some information needed to understand this?

Being a shinigami, he can manipulate the Hell butterflies, so that part isn't a problem for him. As for how he sneaks into Seireitai, it seems that he has some good stealth techniques since he can also perfectly mask his reiatsu. It is not impossible.

cool episode. good comedies from iba san and ganji. At least they gave some temporary relief from this never-ending filler.

nonetheless, Since when ririn become "attached" to ichigo? wasn't she one of the mod souls that hated ichigo's gut so much that she always put him down for not being able to hide his reitatsu or feel others?

This episode mess up everything up on the romance part. I think the one that should be showing some jealousy should be inoue.

I do feel sorry for kon. he got chased by the villagers. I also hate how that old baldy commander acting all high and mighty. I mean, why don't just deal with kariya himself instead wasting low level shinigami to fight the bounto. I am looking foward seeing more captains' action using theirs bankai. I wanna see baldy commander bankai. I bet it's gonna be cool.

I actualy enjoyed rinrin's sudden infactuation with ichi, shes getting real attached to the guy. Actualy all 3 work rather well with their "owner". I just wonder how they will remove the mod souls later on.

The fat vice captain is weak but at least let him put up some kind of a struggle. Its really shameful for the _second division VC to get smacked around even if it was fat smelly omaeda.

It wouldnt be fun if yamato flashed to every bount then killed them instantly , no more filler if he did such a thing.

Obviously you dont have much experience with girls.. its not uncommon for a girl who is feelin a little something to go all agressive and negative towards the guy, if they dotn wanna feel it, or just dont have the guts to say it.

ririn reminds me of naru from love hina. Naru beat the crap out of keitaro to show her affection. Kinda similar with ririn towards ichigo.

I wanna see more nanao chan in future episode. I think the bounto should kidnapped her and see how that beardy captain react.

OK episode...Another one of those progression as a means to an end episodes...It's basically the first slice of bread before you put the meat on it...next week we get a little Rukialoaf so get your mayonaisse ready^^...

Oomaeda was a turd....I actually knew he would be one, but c'mon? He was pathetic...He should be demoted to VC janitor...I've already prepared myself for the training for SS fight part 2 that Ichigo will go thru to advance his abilities..I suppose his bankai will be superior now, but I'm not sure what that will mean to a supped up Bounto...Can anyone explain Ichinose deception? I don't think I quite understood it in this episode, like I think it goes all the way back from earlier in the arc when he was trying to restrict library access on the bounto files...

Finally...

Can anyone really explain how villagers in SS live? Do some of them just decide one day they want to be shinigami? Do they just linger there forever incapable of doing anything else but that? I mean do the guys go to taverns to meet women and potentially settle down having brats with these women? After seeing the Kon scene in this ep it made me think about that again..I forgot about it if it was explained before...

iirc, they don't feel hunger in the villages outside. And Once you start feeling hungry it means you can become a shinigami (i'm not certain, but in the flashbacks with renji/rukia you could see this thing.) Don;t remember ti exactlt from the manga

I'd say he either didn't have an opening to release it, or Ichigo fucked him up so bad that he completely lost confedence in it

While he could've at least used his shikai it doesn't make that much difference to me and his performance (or rather, lack thereof) did kinda suit his character. I always felt like he wasn't a proper vice captain, and wondered how he actually got that position.

Despite Omaeda a vice captain he is such loser. Totally unexpected for him to call for help. No difference from unseated shinigami. He probably not using his shikai might be because this bounto episodes is not in the manga. Since the manga has not introduce his power so maybe they keep it that way. Just my guess though.

Do mod souls even have a gender other than the one they "seem" to be? I think rin sees ichigo as a big brother type more than a lover type, modsoulxhuman doesnt seem likely.

It is implied that they cannot have brats since it is shown that people appear at the age that they die at. The parakeet boy was in soul society just as we sent him. Thus it is unlikely that other people are actually born from a woman's body. We are also told that everyone forms families based on adoption. The parakeet boy introduced us to his family in soul society based on this method. It is implied that noble families are the same though bizarrely some members of this forum insist that reproduction must work for them simply because they are nobles. Obviously I repudiate this idea since there is zero support for it.

As for deciding to be shinigami one day... We see Rukia's discovery of her spiritual powers and then deciding to go to the Shinigami Academy to become a shinigami.

Yeah those eps with the parakeet were soooooooo long ago i forget everything about that...It wouldn't hurt for them to develop this aspect to some degree....Cause it just looks like people are chillin, like it's all good...Where the hell is Enma anyways to judge these fools?
