Could you elaborate on that ? What is it that makes her story "short" compared to other girls ? Each girl's story could be told in 2-3 eps (Kanon 2k2 did this), as well as in 12 eps should the writers have time to flex them out. I don't see why her story should be considered fundamentally shorter than the other ones.

I think the overall story of Kanon is good...but to have the Makoto arc finish first is the worst choice KA made...The tearness of it made the rest of the anime not as sad now...(I cried when playing all routes, by playing the Makoto arc the last...)

Well...though the Makoto arc has to end first if KA wants to stick to the original timeline of the storyline...)

Still, a little tear.

If Shiori does pass away watch out for what happens to Kaori.

Don't know if it was ever covered in the game but she'll need some
real support if it does happen.

I can think of two guys who would be willing to do it, or would she
insist she's fine?

What's with the spoilers ? It's just a speculation, it can't spoil anything ^__^

At any rate - if there is going to be some one to comfort Kaori, i can only see one guy doing it, because the other one, most likely, will be in need of some comforting himself. (unless they plan to cry on each other's shoulder)

shiori will not pass away that easily (repeat until it sticks ) ~ well i do hope that she does come back ~ but being as unpredictable as ever its hard to think what she would say when (if) she does pop up again (its not like she could say "hi im back :3") ~ likewise if she does die then its gonna be hard to give any emotion to a lifeless body (if it shows up) ~ tricky position on shiori

ps ~ riker sure is milking his new sig style

As much as I could use a good drama doze from Kanon at this point, I pity Shiori too much to have her die. Not to mention that if it happened right now, it'd have a devastating effect on what's left of the series and make the Nayuki/Arc too complicated to solve. If they let Shiori die after the final arc conclusion, it'll be too heavy a conclusion and without a justification for such a heavy occurrence, regarding Shiori. Some other people CAN die however

Of course she can't die just like that! My previous post was made under the speculation she does.(knock on the wood). Personally i don't think(and want) her to die. Seems too cruel - she is too sweet for that T.T [bias+denial]

And indeed - the remaining arcs would be complicated to solve with Yuuichi under the emotional strain of Shiori's death.... unless Kanon goes in to uuber-angst mode, which i am not expecting.

@npal - the thing about some one other biting the big one... are you referring to Akiko maybe ? (Hey - her fever could turn to be something much more serious) ... or perhaps Ayu

I can't say, it's a spoiler

But well, we can safely rule out Shiori dying for whatever reason OR Yuuichi thinking that she died, cause that would have almost the same effect : making him incapable of dealing with the arcs to come.

What do you think I've been saying the entire time? I don't really like arguing too much, and I found there was no longer any real room for the debate to move. That's why I suggested that the arguement should be dropped, but somebody insisted that we keep debating…

Been most upset about the Fountain.

Yeah it's colorful, it's more "real", but it looks like fog somehow. In game it shines like stars.

We may have our 'bitter' differences in the speculation thread, but this is one point we can agree on.

People, people - remember, it's Ayu's world and we're all just living in it. Makoto, Shiori, Mai - all just a wondrous prelude to the "Uguu" to come...

Hush! Begone, creature of darkness j/k ^ Well, Yuuichi does not believe a miracle has happened, so there - Shiori must live.

Can anybody clarify what Kaori meant when they were all standing outside the ice-cream shop (right after Aizawa says "Don't you want to go out with such a cute girl?") - SS-Eclipse has her line as "You really don't have an eye for girls, do you" and A.F.K. translated it as "You really have no taste". Both sound pretty insulting!

In Layman's terms,

Kaori: "You're really dumb to not want Shiori as a girlfriend."

Cheers.

Ahh... you're right. She's talking to Yuichi, not Jun. That makes so much more sense. Thanks!

And she would be quite right with that - who wouldn't want her as a girlfriend
