Lelouch, in this world doesn't believe that there is hope for a gentle world. To him, "That is just idealist thought and dreams! Does hope even exist in the Pandora’s box?" but Nunnally replied that no matter how long it takes, she believe a gentle world can be realised. With their short lives, they might not be able to see it, but she is hopeful. That is her resolution after seeing other possibilities which had occurred in the other worlds.

In a sense, Nunnally did see the other Lelouch who is fighting for a gentle world she wish for. She just need to talk some sense into this Lelouch

As long as they doesn't pull all the characters into it. Maybe just Lelouch, the demon king might be cool enough. No one is able to travel across dimensions in this series. It's only Nunnally who saw the other possibilities.

Perhaps this could be the pick me up story after the disappearance of Rolo vi Britannia? I wonder what would happen if he ended up in the anime version of Code Geass afterward? All Hail the return of the Demon King, just like he wanted in NoN? Oh, and may haps signaling the return for our Lelouch to confront him in order to justify all the conspiracy theories that says he's still alive? Would be a very awesome story I would imagine

Well, traveling between dimensions comes at a heavy price, and you need a powerful mage to actually grant you the ability. Now, if Lelouch/Rolo stumbles upon Yuko's little shop.....

Exactly, I mean think about it, he looks exactly like Lelouch, Lelouch in the anime has established the reputation of being a demon king, which is what Rolo vi Britannia desired in the first place, and since his fate has been left ambiguous it leads me to wonder if we can't have him make a splash. As you can tell, I find him to be a fascinating character to say the least and probably me favorite in NoN

I have not read Code 21 so I could have missed some of the things. I will summarise what I think I understand from Code 22. Hopefully, someone well-versed in the language will be able to clear up any misunderstanding or doubts I had done below after vol. 5 gets released on 25th April. I'm at the beginner stage.

Spoiler for Code 22: Demon King - Rolo III:

Alice arrived and engaged Rolo to a battle. Sancia tried to stop Alice who had already seen through Rolo’s power, “The Ice”: the power to freeze the movement of the world event with the power of witch she obtained with the contract with Nemo. She lured him to use his power on her allowing her KMF to become more agile by breaking the exoskeleton (?) of her frame. With the witch’s power, her Geass, ‘The Speed’ was amplified. Just as Alice predicted about Rolo’s power after some time of their battle, he is only able to freeze things within his territories, as long as she isn’t within his territories, his power won’t work against her. Rolo praised her for that. However, it is meaningless to him as long as he could lure her into his absolute territory. By using the quantum wave shift (?) from Code Geass (what’s that actually?), he was able to identify Nunnally’s previous location and (seems that he captured Nunnally?) used her to lure Alice into his territory. Rolo commented that she is not fit for a witch for being swayed by her emotion during battle and was going to finish her off. Alice mentioned on the advice given by Zero, there was a limit of the time which Rolo was not able to freeze, by amplifying ‘The Speed’ to infinity with the Geass of the witch; she defeated Rolo in his Vincent.



Rolo couldn’t believe that he, the demon king would be defeated. All the sudden, cellular mutation start occurring on his arm. During the mutation, his real memories returned. Rolo was a created Demon King by injecting C.C.’s cell into the fertilized embryo from Charles and Marianne. Rolo awaken as experiment body, C.C. Charles gave Rolo his name, Rolo vi Britannia and his memory, he will be a loyal sword to Charles. Rolo was just an artificial demon king. Anya showed up confirming the fact. Rolo who was in his rage, tried to stangle Anya for keeping him on watch him by the order of the emperor and mocking at him claiming to be a demon king when he was actually an experiment body. Tears started to roll on his cheeks as he felt that instead of watching him, Anya was actually watching over him. Rolo asked her if his soul will be able to return to the paradise in Eden Vital who answered she do not know. Rolo commented that she was cruel and his body finally broken down completely and disappeared with only his pilot suit remained. Anya looked depressed.



Anya passed Rolo's locket to Alice telling her that there is information regarding Kaminejima island in the locket. By going to that island, she would be able to know about Geass and about Eden Vital and the way to save Nunnally. It's up to Alice to decide.

Nunnally woke up in an apartment with Alice by her side. She realised a locket hanged over her neck and asked Alice what was it? Alice lied that it was a present given by refugees from the camp in return for the food distributed to them. Nunnally opened up the locket which revealed a photo. She showed it to Alice who commented that it was a photo of a family and to the owner, it was a very precious memory.

Spoiler for NoN!Rolo:

Rolo was being featured as a jerk tragic character who is willing to execute his sister for the power of the witch. He had wanted to rebel against his father as to him Demon King and God could not co-exist by obtaining both Nunnally and Lelouch's powers. He had been yearning for love from his mother and he hated Nunnally and Lelouch for being showered with motherly love and he had to work hard to become stronger in the dark. He was given back his royal status and the rights of inheritance to the throne which was stripped off when he was taken away from this mother as a baby due to the belief of chaos will be brought upon to bore a pair of twins princes. He obtained the position as a cardinal. Upon being defeated by Alice, his real memories of being an experiment body, an artificial demon king and the very first complete form of an artificial wire were returned to him. All those memories and even his name was fabricated given by Charles to pledge his loyalty to him by being his sword. He knew all along that Anya was always watching over him. At his very last moment, he must have wished that Anya would lie to him. His precious locket revealed a family photo of Marianne, Lelouch and Nunnally.

I probably try to work on the next few chapters if time permits.

Sorry to burst your bubbles, I would say he is dead. Looks like Lelouch can't be bothered with him but instead guided Alice on the weakness of his Geass in order to defeat him. Unless Anime!Rolo vi Britannia existed.
