After spending a while wondering when the grey out login button would finally work... Turns out I had use my use my E-mail account and not my battlenet name.

copy/pasting my password seem to speed up the process of logging on.

Wow that was awesome. Blast from the past with a modern tint. Feels like I'm in high school wasting my life away again...

So umm, is the battle.net 2.0 system better than the "still in beta and should have never been released" bnet system SC2 had?

And yes, always use your email as login.

This is the slowest downloader I have ever endured, can't even get the damn thing to finish installing, much less attempt to log in.

How long would the beta be open? Cause clearly there's no point fighting with the hordes of people installing and playing at the same time

For 3 days.

Well, currently I find it's fine after 2 hours of playing. No lagging, no d/c, and my download speed was constantly at 400 kbs.

Anyone else extremely annoyed by the fact they're using your real name in the achievement thingy? I'm not joining public games right now cause of it.

Somehow, throwing a billion spiders at people as a witch doctor is really fun.

You've just ensured I'll never PvP against a Witch Doctor ever now that you've revealed that to me. Thanks.

personaly I was worried about Open beta and I was kinda right.... becouse the servers didnt make it at all as the game lunched... stress test should have been done month ago and do some preparation to check it out... no its like open beta was announced a day ago... lots of people started to download... lots tried to access game and everything fell apart.

hard to imagine what would happen if this would happen durring game premiere ! people paid their money and want to enjoy the game and servers go down... I can already see those lines... "waiting for a free slot" or "server full" kinda like mmos

anyway today its playing time :P

The server is working fine after 5 hours of the OBT starting time, so I don't think you should be worrying about that.

Beside, I'm pretty sure the amount of people who are paying to play the full game will be lower than the people who jump in OBT.

Don't think we should use the Open Beta as a guide to server performance, since these issues with the server are the very reason they went Open Beta in the first place. Hence, "stress test". If you look at it from the timeline of the Open Beta then maybe they should have done the Stress Test early. But considering there's still more or less a month to the actual release of the game, then it's rather understandable if you look to May 15 as the actual timeline they're basing these tests on.

Also, as of this moment the servers look fine to me, with none of the server problems plaguing it hours earlier.

Just tired it this morning, got disconnected a dozen of times.
I have to say using the environment to kill the baddies is kind of fun ^^

One thing I have to say is that the always on connection is now making me think twice about getting the game, at least around launch window. I never thought it would be an issue until I tried this beta, even if it was open to stress the servers, it kind of put this kind of DRM in a bad light.

Well, I managed to finish a whole run with my friends without any connection problem.

This game is great! Can't wait for the full release, whole thing felt terribly short.

Well, I got in after trying every few minutes. Played with a friend using barbarian+demon hunter. I kind of wish they'd let us play something that can't be simply facerolled, but still...I never really got the appeal of Diablo and still don't. I think it's the most overrated game.
