Friendship, the key to saving the world.
An ideal world where science was the solution to everything.
That was, everyone's wish.

The setting for this story was Oshima.
Where the everyday poor but heartwarming lives of Akane Isshiki, an innocent and naive 14-year old girl, along with her sister Momo who takes care of all the housework single handely and her genius inventor of a grandfather Kenjirou (but spends all his time making useless things), were brought out.

If the weather's good, the artificial island of Blue Island, overlooking the sea could be seen.
And within the center of this island, towers the ground-breaking invention that solved the world's energy problem - the Materialization Engine.

That was the peaceful future that everyone dreamed of, where everyone could smile in the happy days.
But, this world is suddenly hit by danger.

Mysterious enemies who target the Materialization Engine, the Alone, appear.

In midst of this desperate situation, where all weapons were found to be useless against the enemies, one girl, wearing a red suit "Palette Suit", holding immense power within in, stands. And with her, are the comrades and friends who has gathered around her.

The friendship between these girls are, without a doubt, the only hope of saving the world.

The premise sounds nothing special at first due to how utopian it looks, and when I read the rest of synopsis, I can't say it was very original. That doesn't mean it was intended to look bad either, but if it was done right, I'll accept. I hope the show will focuses on how the science solved the world problems, but I doubt it so much given on how much they emphasize on fanservice (I hope I'm wrong when it airs).

According to the official Twitter account, there will be a new VRO CM every week with a different narrator and "perhaps new footage...?".

That plot summary, probably unsurprisingly, reminds me a lot of Strike Witches -- which is probably the point since many of the same staff are involved. The major difference is the futuristic/science setting, rather than faux WW2-style. This is basically what I was expecting anyway, and is perfectly okay as far as I'm concerned.

At any rate, the setting is unique enough for me to at the very least, check things out. I'll save any opinions for after I see a handful of episodes

And this is why it was nominated to be one of the most anticipated shows of the next season. I wasn't surprised at all, since I did it the same thing. Hope it will follows many things I really wanted so it can become one of the best shows winter has to offer alongside Maoyuu Mao Yuusha, Haganai NEXT, Love Live! and some others.

It gets better than before. I'm glad they use more than just ass fetish and it looks like it feature sci-fi gadgets used by the magical girls to provide a bit of scientific explanation. The CG fighting is also here, but I'm worried on how much most people wouldn't like it. Anyways, I'm very excited to watch in January and it has everything I wanted !
